We are in our 7 week of our series Convictions: What wee Believe. The question we have been try to answer during this series is this
Do Christians have nonnegotiable beliefs, and if so, what are they?
So far we have covered the Holy Bible. We look at how this book was God breath written by man over servely hundred of years and it all works together. This book is a perfect gift for God and there is nothing we can do to make it better.
We have look at the Trinity. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. We saw how all three are God and that we only worship one God not three.
Then Broken down the Trinity to its three parts.
God the Father- Created everything. Genesis 1:1 doesn’t read In the begining God dropped something on accident, and as a result there was life.” Rather, we read, “In the beginning God created…” He set about to do something when he created, which means you have purpose and value.
God the Son-God give us a lot of laws that no one could follow all of them. Jesus is the only one that could. He was a perfect with out sin from birth to death on the cross. Only to be rised on the third defeating death. So we could have a choice.
God the Holy Spirit is a gift that Jesus promised before he assended into heaven. He told his disiples that I will send someone to guide you. We receive this gift when we ask Christ to become Lord of our life. It doesn’t come at a later date. God has sent you a Helper who can guide and lead you.
Last week at the Fall. The moment that sin came into this world. The moment that we no longer have concetion with God. Sin put a vallege between us and God. God can not look upon sin. God did not create people to be sinner. He don’t create people to be wicked. This is part of sin that is the world. There is no hope for the world because of the sin that is in the world.

There is hope for you

This morning we are will be looking at our 7 conviction that we stand fram on. So if you have your bible please turn to Romans 3:21-26. If you don’t have one you can follow along on the screen in a few moments.
Before we look at this passage. I have a question for you. So think for a moment.

What brings you hope?

The dawning of a new day
Nature and gardening (plant a seed and watch it grow)
The pursuit of passionate purpose, as well as its achievement, that provides a sense of meaning and reward
Joyful and playful sounds and sights of children and people of all ages
Experiencing the best the world has to offer:  music, art, beauty, dancing, singing, learning, creativity, innovation, and knowledge
Choice, freedom, and free-will (I have the ability to change the situation.)
History (I have done it before, so I know I can do it again.)
Connections with proper, positive people, a higher power, and the web of life
Regeneration in all forms as stimulated by breathing, sleep, meditation, prayer, spirit, impermanence, and quiet
Witnessing or experiencing acts of love, goodness, and kindness
Sense of competence. Positive feedback on an idea.
Sense of progress toward a goal.
All of this can bring you hope but there is one more thing that can and that’s Jesus. With all the sin in our life there is nothing we can do about it. Jesus is the only one that can.
Romans 3:21–26 CSB
21 But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, attested by the Law and the Prophets. 22 The righteousness of God is through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe, since there is no distinction. 23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; 24 they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. 25 God presented him as the mercy seat by his blood, through faith, to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his restraint God passed over the sins previously committed. 26 God presented him to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so that he would be just and justify the one who has faith in Jesus.

Righteousness through faith

Righteousness what is pleasing and right to God. We can please God by having faith in Christ. We can be made clean for all of our sin by having faith in Christ. Sin has no distinction. There is no sin that is great than the others. Sin is sin but we can have hope in our faith in Jesus because.

Grace through redemption

God has poured out is grace on mankind when he sent his Son down to live. This is the a story of redemption. God did not have to send his Son. He could have just left everything the way it was. He sent his Son so that you and I can be forgive for all the sin that is in our life. When we believe in what Jesus did for us on the cross and that he rose from the death on the third day. This covers our sin. This faith/ belief makes us white as snow.

Death and sin is not the end

The price of sin is death. Like I said earlier God can not look upon sin.
there is hope. We can find hope in Jesus. We covered by the blood of Jesus. When we are coverd by the blood of Jesus God wrath for for sin pass over us. We are no longer able to die and be abset for God. We will be with him for eternity.

What does this mean for you?

So what does this mean for you and for me?
It means that we don’t have to live our lives dwelling on regrets or trying to earn God’s favor. Instead, we can trust that what Jesus did is enough and that God will forgive us and make us right with him. It isn’t about what we do; it is about the work that Jesus did on our behalf! The sacrifice he went through on the cross for us is the only thing we need to do.
John 6:29 CSB
29 Jesus replied, “This is the work of God—that you believe in the one he has sent.”

Do you believe in the Son?

God’s grace is greater than our sin

We cannot do anything good enough to connect us to God, but God has taken the initiative and forgiven the believer unconditionally
