“Behold, I am doing a New Thing.”

Play kids video the parable of the two builders.
Play Boulder and River Video clip
These boulders feel secure and safe. They feel like nothing can move them.
The truth is during storms and times of too much water that even these boulders move.
Boulders:
Friendships, Family, jobs, skills, health,
Identity traits, outgoing, bold, loud, quiet....
God Promises, what God did....
Ebenezer’s
When what God did becomes God to you it is an idle.
Moses and striking the rocks for water.
God put these boulders in your life the guide the river flowing through you.
Some boulders are gone now and needed gone.
I am just shy.
Fear of heights, speaking, connecting, meeting people.......
Victim is a boulder that is being removed.
Dont hang on to victim because that boulder is being removed.
Isaiah 43:19 NASB95
19 “Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.
You and I are called to be rivers of living water to the dry and thirsty places.
There is a trend right now to move to places that have what people want already.
Move to this city because it has outdoor activity.
But under all that God is giving us a hint. People are moving to places that have water. People are moving to places that have either ocean, lake or rivers. People are subconsciously being drawn to a reflection of what they really need.
Natural water sources are that reflection or shadow of the spring or river of life.
What people are really needing is access to the River of Life.
You and I are in that business.
We are called to be that resting place that flowing place of His River of Life.
“He is calling us to come up and out of the ordinary and rise above our limits. He is asking us to See and Respond to His hand of preparation in our lives and in the Church - His Bride.” Brian Houston
Are we excited that the storm is finally dimming down so we can finally get back to a normal flow?
Or are we excited that the flow of our life has been forever changed so we can be the river of life to people who so desperately need life and hope.
If we are here for just ourselves than storms are just and inconvenience.
We want out of the storm and shifting place so that we can have peace. So that we can have a good life.
If we are here to be the bride of Christ, to be Christ to others, than the storm is just a shift and is necessary for what God wants to do next.
We are His Church, we are His river of Life redirected.
Psalm 46:4 NASB95
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling places of the Most High.
This river is our connection to Jesus.
This river is the place in our hearts that finds rest in Jesus in the storms.
This river is what Jesus thinks of you rather than what others thing of you.
This river is where Jesus rests in us.
Are we putting our trust and faith in the boulders of our lives or in the river that flows through us?
Closing:
You have just come from a season of storms and shifting. During this time of shifting, many boulders that felt sure in your life were moved. I am the River of Life in your life, and I want to flow in a new direction with your life and to do this, these sure boulders had to move. Now you are set up to bring rivers of living water to new places and people. I have directed and pointed your life to this new thing I am doing in all of humanity. You are in my time and place of new things and new ways. These boulders are not where My life comes from, but they are a vital part of how I flow through your life. The boulders in your life will change in rare seasons to redirect what I want to do through you, but your confidence and trust are to be in Me. I will flow through you, My bride, in such a way that creates new life for all who come to the river. You will move what seems unmovable. You will even create new pathways through what appears solid and never changing. I am blazing a trail with you, and you are the resting place I delight in. Watch as I turn the faces of those who are not paying attention. You will be the refreshing and resting place of My presence. Keep letting me carve out the path with your life, and you will see how good and easy it is to trust Me. For I am removing humanity from victimhood to sonship. This is My time to bring the Abundant Life I came to give. I choose you My Bride to be the way I bring that Abundant Life.
God will move the sure boulders in your life to change the direction and flow of the River of Life through you.
Thank God for the shift in the boulders of your life.
Today’s Challenge:
What boulders have moved in your life?
Take a moment to thank God for those boulders that have moved.
Are you expecting God to do New Things?

Isaiah 43:1–2 NASB95
1 But now, thus says the Lord, your Creator, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! 2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.
Psalm 46:4 NASB95
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling places of the Most High.
John 14:13–14 NASB95
13 “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 “If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
John 7:37–38 NASB95
37 Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. 38 “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ ”
Isaiah 58:11 NASB95
11 “And the Lord will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.
Isaiah 44:3–4 NASB95
3 ‘For I will pour out water on the thirsty land And streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring And My blessing on your descendants; 4 And they will spring up among the grass Like poplars by streams of water.’
Exodus 17:6 NASB95
6 “Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
Numbers 20:8–13 NASB95
8 “Take the rod; and you and your brother Aaron assemble the congregation and speak to the rock before their eyes, that it may yield its water. You shall thus bring forth water for them out of the rock and let the congregation and their beasts drink.” 9 So Moses took the rod from before the Lord, just as He had commanded him; 10 and Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly before the rock. And he said to them, “Listen now, you rebels; shall we bring forth water for you out of this rock?” 11 Then Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came forth abundantly, and the congregation and their beasts drank. 12 But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you have not believed Me, to treat Me as holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.” 13 Those were the waters of Meribah, because the sons of Israel contended with the Lord, and He proved Himself holy among them.
