Text: Acts 2:1-4 (KJV)

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Subject: Revival

Central Theme:The Glory of the Lord Fill the Temple!

Objective: Every Child of God must allow the Holy Spirit to fill his/her temple so that he/she can experience the revival that God has purposed for him.

Introduction:

Notes: Fuchsia Pickett

Revival will not come until and unless the “church” knows the Holy Spirit:

a. Personally and intimately (relationship)

          b. Knows how to yield to Him

          c. Knows how to corporate with Him

Rationale:

I. Ye are the temple of the Holy Ghost.

The infinite, almighty, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, immaculate, immutable, emancipating, divine God walks in us to the degree that we let Him.  Our greatest achievement / ambition is to build a temple for Him.  That is what He wanted to begin with.  He told Isaiah that a broken and contrite spirit He will not despise. (A great temple)

2. Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The dynamo of power inherent in the Person of the Holy Spirit distributes God’s omnipotence through seven different power lines.

A. Arche: Divine power that can create something out of nothing.  Power that brings forth from itself as the source, creative power.

Expression:

II Corinthians 5:17 If any man be in Christ he is a new creature.

B. Exousia: The ability to decide and perform an action without hindrance.  The decisive authority of God.  Exousia reflects the power and right to influence and enforce: Governmental authority.

Expression:

John 1:12 power to become the sons of God.

Ephesians 4:11-12 enables five-fold ministry to lead others.

II Cor. 10:8 authority and ability to edify the church.

C. Ischus: Almighty force of divine power with ability to penetrate opposition.  Military force.

Acts 19:20 (KJV) So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

Expression:

I John 2:14b I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

D. Didomi: The power to give.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son…

Expression:

Death of martyrs, power to share the life of Christ.  Supernatural power to lay down one’s life for belief in Christ; overcomes our timidity and compels us to give to others the life we have received from God.

E. Megaleiotes: The magnificence and majesty of God.  The transcending power of God that lifts humanity out of its impossible plight and transforms impossible situations.  Pulley power of the Holy Spirit that lifts a burden otherwise impossible to carry;

Expressions:

Transfiguration of Jesus

Luke 9:43 Casting out of stubborn evil spirits.

F. Energia: A divine energizing force that works effectually and powerfully.

Expressions:

Power of the scriptures: James 1:21 (KJV) Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Philippians 2:13 (KJV) For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

G. Kratos: The superior power of God to which the final victory belongs.

Expressions:

Eternal dominion of God 1 Peter 5:11 (KJV) To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Supernatural strength to triumph over evil. Col. 1:10,11 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

The key to displaying of the power of God in the earth is total submission to the Holy Spirit.

3. Mark 15:38 (KJV) And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.

The Word is sharper than any two –edged sword dividing asunder soul and spirit until Jesus can fill the temple.   Let the temple be filled with His glory.

We are born with a carnal mind, with a rebellious will, and with warped emotions because of the veil of the flesh that is present. We are on the throne and our spirit is dead.  When we were born again the Holy Spirit brought the seed of the word (God) and planted Him in our spirit and we became alive as Christ in us the hope of glory.

You still have you on the throne.  God sent His word, line upon line, precept upon precept to change our will, until our will becomes His will.  The word goes in cutting and comes back healing.  It splits the veil a little at the time until you can see Jesus.  Isaiah said, “I beheld Him in the temple.”  Revelation means unveil. The Holy Spirit splits the veil until you can see Jesus.

If we are in the will of God we become the will of God. If it is God’s will that I preach this message I don’t have to pray every time to ask Him about it.  It is God’s will.  You give up your will to His will, His will becomes your will, and you become the will of God.  My will must surrender to His will.  Your emotions begin to change.  Our mind is self-centered.  We got this in the fall from the first Adam.

We must give up our carnal mind, rebellious will, and warped emotions.

Commitment: is giving up your will, way, words, wants, walk, worship, warfare.  There isn’t much left.  It is done as we obey.  Thy will, way, words, walk, etc. be done, not mine.  We behold Him in the Word.  God wills to open our spirit so that our inner eyes shall behold Him.  This comes as you walk in the Spirit.  He wants to fill the inner man with His glory, joy, peace, presence, overflowing happiness, etc.

Three Master Keys to Unlock our walk with God: (Study Guide page 55)

There is a master key for our body, one for our soul, and one for our spirit.  We have fifteen gates: five in the body, five in the soul, and five in the spirit.  We call them the five senses.  We have ears in each of these. If they swing together we walk in union with God.  Open the gates and the “King of Glory shall come in.”  There are five gates and a key will be needed to open the gates.  The master key for the body is “Yield.”  It will open all the doors.  Obedience is better than sacrifice.  The master key to the soul is “obey.”  The master key for the spirit is “faith.”

Closing:

4.  Isaiah 6:1-8 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. 4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone ; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. 6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: 7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. 8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
