Psalm 22

The Question

David was in a situation where he felt like God was far away.

Jesus knew that same experience at the cross.

If anyone ever looked forsaken, it was Jesus.

The Reality

Even in our worst times, we must remember that God is holy. (vs3)

We should always remember that God alone is Savior. (vs4-5)

Jesus’ experience shows God is always in control. (vs28)

The Response (consider all this, put in perspective)

Considering the magnitude of what Jesus has done, praise is only fitting. (vs22-23)

Knowing who He is and what He’s done leads to obedience. (vs25)

God’s work has a global and lasting effect of praise and obedience. (vs27, 30-31)
