The Good place is individualistic- you can spend as many “Jeremy Berimys” learning everything there is to know but as long as eternity is “you” focused it will never be the good place. Eventually you will always get bored and you will want out. Just like the characters in the show.. That is why immortality is often seen as a curse in the media. What makes Heaven so different is that it has nothing to do with you or me. It is all about Christ. It is all about worshipping Jesus forever and that will never get old. When we take the focus off of ourselves and put it on Jesus that is when we will be most content. No amount of learning, experiencing, or fun will ever stack up to an eternity in the Presence of Jesus.

Welcome to The Good Place

“It’s not the ‘heaven’ or ‘hell’ idea you were raised on but generally speaking, in the afterlife, there is a Good Place and there is a Bad place. You’re in the Good Place, you’re okay Elenor, You’re in the Good place.” - Micheal
These words were from the opening scene of the tv sitcom “The Good Place”
My wife and I were browsing through Netflix trying to find something to watch one night and we came across this show. We were intrigued so we started to watch it. We ended up bindge watching the whole series over the span of the next couple of weeks. It was a very intersting take on the idea of what happens to us after we die.
The idea portrayed of the “Actual Good Place” in the later seasons is what I imagine what would have happened if God had allowed Adam and Eve to eat from the Tree of Life after eating the fruit from the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil.

the Actual Good Place and how its portrayed in the show vs How the bible explains Heaven
