We are in a season of Transfiguration.

Last Week:
Hanging around hope changes you from the inside out. Hanging around Hope naturally adjusts what is important and real and what is not important any more.
Last weeks Challenge:
Where or with who do you find hope with?
Who has God sent to you to be the hope of Christ too?
We are in a season of Transfiguration.
Timing:
John 7:6 NASB95
6 So Jesus said to them, “My time is not yet here, but your time is always opportune.
Luke 9:28 NASB95
28 Some eight days after these sayings, He took along Peter and John and James, and went up on the mountain to pray.
Number 8 in Bible is a new beginning, it is a number of hope, new horizons and bright future.
Number 8 = New Beginning
In Matthews and Marks account it says 6 days.
6 Days represents man. Man being the center of the universe. Meaning the days we want.
I believe that this happened over and 8 day period that started on 6 days.
Number 6 = of man
Luke 9:29 NASB95
29 And while He was praying, the appearance of His face became different, and His clothing became white and gleaming.
While connecting with God, Jesus transformed.
Luke 9:30–32 NASB95
30 And behold, two men were talking with Him; and they were Moses and Elijah, 31 who, appearing in glory, were speaking of His departure which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem. 32 Now Peter and his companions had been overcome with sleep; but when they were fully awake, they saw His glory and the two men standing with Him.
What made them tired?
Maybe is was the journey to the top of the mountain.
Maybe it was long days before.
Maybe it is that life has been a long journey for you.
Maybe it is that you dont think you can try anymore.
Luke 9:33–34 NASB95
33 And as these were leaving Him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here; let us make three tabernacles: one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah”—not realizing what he was saying. 34 While he was saying this, a cloud formed and began to overshadow them; and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.
Holy Spirit will put words in your mouth that bring the presence of God.
This brings a new level of stepping up because now they are afraid of the presence of God.
Fear:
The cloud represents something that you can’t explain.
Matthews account says because they heard the voice of God they were afraid.
Marks account says they were afraid because they did not know the answer.
Luke 9:35 NASB95
35 Then a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him!”
This is very similar to the time God spoke from heaven This is my Son in whom I am pleased.
In that season God speaks something over you and leads you to a dry place to help you get life from His words over you.
This is not that season.
This is a season where we become what God says through Connection with him.
Your part in connecting with God:
- Let God lead you in His timing.
Not your preferred time line.
Not a demand from God on by when or else.
-Own how God is connecting with you.
Wake up and be aware of what God is doing.
Acknowledge what He is and has done.
Thank Him for what He is doing.
-Make a time and space you intentionally connect with God.
Talk with God
Listen to what God plans for you.
Practice being aware of where and what He is saying through out the day.
-Let yourself share what Holy Spirit is putting on your heart and mind to someone.
Look for those God moments with people in your life.
Share what could be Holy Spirit and let Gods presence be.
- We dont need to be afraid of what we can not explain, or what we dont have the answer to, or What God is saying.
Closing:

1 “Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; My chosen one in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the nations.
Luke 9:28–35 NASB95
28 Some eight days after these sayings, He took along Peter and John and James, and went up on the mountain to pray. 29 And while He was praying, the appearance of His face became different, and His clothing became white and gleaming. 35 Then a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him!”
Matthew 17:1–8 NASB95
1 Six days later Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves. 2 And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. 4 Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, I will make three tabernacles here, one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” 5 While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!” 6 When the disciples heard this, they fell face down to the ground and were terrified. 7 And Jesus came to them and touched them and said, “Get up, and do not be afraid.” 8 And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one except Jesus Himself alone.
Mark 9:2–8 NASB95
2 Six days later, Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John, and brought them up on a high mountain by themselves. And He was transfigured before them; 3 and His garments became radiant and exceedingly white, as no launderer on earth can whiten them. 4 Elijah appeared to them along with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus. 5 Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; let us make three tabernacles, one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” 6 For he did not know what to answer; for they became terrified. 7 Then a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is My beloved Son, listen to Him!” 8 All at once they looked around and saw no one with them anymore, except Jesus alone.
2 Corinthians 10:7 NASB95
7 You are looking at things as they are outwardly. If anyone is confident in himself that he is Christ’s, let him consider this again within himself, that just as he is Christ’s, so also are we.
