Main Idea: God will judge false teachers and save his elect.

The elect persevere in faith(vs. 4-5)

The false teachers were written beforehand. (προγράφω)
Just as these false teachers were written to condemnation, the elect are predestined for salvation. (v.2 & Rom. 8:29-30)

The ungodly pervert God’s grace(vs. 5-8)

The Israelites were saved from Egypt by Jesus.
That generation took God’s faithfulness and perverted it into faithlessness.
Jude’s 3 OT examples show us 3 problems of these false teachers.
They defile the flesh, reject authority, and blaspheme (βλασφημέω).

The LORD will punish sin (vs. 9-16)

Like Michael, we will contend with adversaries, but the LORD will rebuke them.
The Lord will come with an army to execute judgement on the ungodly.
