Pre-Sermon Ice Breaker

Blond lady is out doing yard work and accidently cuts off her cat's tail. She is upset and quickly grabs the cat and the cat's tail and says to her neighbor and headed to Walmart. The neighbor says, “Walmart, why are you going to Walmart?” The lady replies, “Hello, Walmart is the worlds largest retailer.”

Introduction

The theme for our sermons during the month of June is this 3 letter word - ALL!
Philippians 4:19 KJV 1900
19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
The All in that passage was All our need. We learned that God would supply all our need. God has everything at his disposal to meet your need. And your greatest need is a personal relationship with Jesus.
Today we look at another application of this word - ALL.
Romans 8:28 KJV 1900
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Paul writes that All things Work Together for Good. At first blush this truth seems hard to accept. You only have to live a little while to learn that bad things happen. Sickness, death, evil, sadness, war and so much more.
Yet Paul’s statement says…we know.
John 16:33 KJV 1900
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
V. What do we know that can help us in our daily struggles
1. Today's passage offers some help
2. Three things that we can know

Body

We can know that God is working in every situation

“That all things”
Not Good things, not some things, not most things, ALL Things.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV 1900
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Lisa Beemer, wife of Todd Beemer, flight 93, her dad died while she was young prepared her to tell her kids when her husband died.
Joseph sold into slavery -
Genesis 50:20 KJV 1900
20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

We know that God's purpose is Good

Mark 10:18 KJV 1900
18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
James 1:17 KJV 1900
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

We know that God has called us into a relationship

1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV 1900
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
The called
1 Corinthians 1:9 KJV 1900
9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Conclusion

Do you have this knowledge?
1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV 1900
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1 Corinthians 2:16 KJV 1900
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
If you have been born again you are a new Creature in Christ, He has come to live in your heart. His spirit is speaking to you and teaching you. And you can know these things:
...that God is working in every situation.
...that God's purpose is Good.
