Introduction

Throughout 2021 we have been engaged in the 2021 Scripture Memory Challenge. As a congregation, We are memorizing a verse of Scripture each week. In the bulletin you will find a Scripture Memory Card. It includes a Topic, the Address of the verse, the Scripture text itself and then the address is repeated.
The Topic serves as a memory tool and helps link groups of verses together by a common theme. The theme in January was Salvation, in February Love, In March Service, In April Christ and in May prayer. The theme for June is All. Each of the Scripture Memory verses we will look at in the month of June include this small yet powerful Word.
All is defined as the whole quantity or extent of a particular group or thing. words associated with all include fully, wholly, entirely, every. and whosoever.
I want to approach our text in a different way today. I want to look a the 3 Relationships that define all. And in so doing I hope that you will gain a greater understanding of this great promise from God’s Word.
Our text today is found in Paul’s Epistle to the Philippi. Philippi is located in Northern Greece. Phillip the II of Macedon the father of Alexander the Great, renamed the city after himself. The Apostle Paul visited Philippi during his Second Missionary Journey. It is here that Paul and Silas were thrown into jail after they cast a demon out of a slave girl there. This same jail is where the Philippian jailer, after an earthquake, asked, “What must I do to be saved?” and Paul replied, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and the entire household.” Then the Jailer and his family trusted Christ and were wonderfully and miraculously saved.”
Ironically Paul would later write to these same Philippians from anther prison, this letter known as the “Joy letter.” In Philippians 4 gives thanks to the Philippians for their generosity in financially supporting him. It is in this context that Paul writes these words of Promise not only the to Philippians but to all believers
Philippians 4:19 KJV 1900
19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Lets examine this verse together.

Body

The First Relationship of All is with Me

Philippians 4:19 KJV 1900
19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
The word Mou (Moo) in the Greek is translated 407 times in the Bible as My. First person possessive pronoun.
John 20:28 KJV 1900
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Thomas acknowledges that he has placed his faith in Jesus Christ.
Have you? Have you been born again, Have you believed on or trusted in Christ for your salvation. If this first reality is not true for you, the rest of what we discuss in this verse will be moot.
Jesus said, “You must be born again.”
Paul acknowledges this same truth again and again in his gospels. In Romans 1:8, 1 Cor 1:4, 1 Cor 14:18, Phil 1:3, and Philemon 1:4.
This is a powerful witness. Jesus said to his disciples you shall be my witnesses. Is God and Christ some obscure, distant deity or is he your God?
Look at the affirmation that Paul makes, “My God shall supply...” This affirmation is rooted in Scripture.
Genesis 22:14 KJV 1900
14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.
The Lord our provider.

The Second Relationship of All is with You

Philippians 4:19 KJV 1900

Your means belonging to or associated with the person or people that the speaker is addressing.
Matthew 6:8 KJV 1900
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
God knows what you need before you ask him. God also knows what your greatest need is. A personal relationship with him.
Luke 12:30–31 KJV 1900
30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. 31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
What is it that you need today, health, finances, relationships, answers, God says seek me first.

The Third relationship of All is Him

Philippians 4:19 KJV 1900
19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
The Greek Word Translated His appears 923 times in the Bible. It means belonging to or associated with Him.

The Greek word translated En appears 116 Times in the Bible as by. By is a preposition, the identifying the agent performing an action.
What is the Agent that My God uses to supply all Your needs according to His Riches in Glory?
It is Jesus Christ. The Son of God and God the Son. Without Jesus you are like Charlie in the Chocolate Factory , “You get nothing, You lose, Good Day Sir!”
But with Christ, all your need is supplied.

2 Corinthians 5:18 (KJV 1900)
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
Ephesians 1:5 KJV 1900
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
We have Grace, Truth, Righteousness, Eternal Life, Reconciliation, and adoption by Jesus Christ. Everything comes by Jesus.
