Deliverance Shall Come!

John 14:1-7KJV

1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Jesus delivers troubled hearts! Including yours and mine as well!

Verse 1 “Let not your hearts be troubled” Why were these men troubled? For 3 years they were ministering, learning, and seeing the things of God! Now something was happening and they were worried if it was all coming to an end. Jesus let them know that they hadn’t even started yet!

1.      Division set in among them the same happens in churches today.

Luke 22:24KJV

24 And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.

  1. Desertion and betrayal was now known, today some call it “back stabbing”

John 13:21KJV

21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

  1. They had been talking about separation from the Lord, they worried were they losing Him forever!?!

John 13:33KJV

33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.

  1. There was denial of what Jesus had told them, Peter said he would defend Jesus no matter what even if he had to give his own life!

John 13:38KJV

38 Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.

They had reason to be worried and we feel at times we are also within our rights to be scared too. Yet we have something to look forward to!  Deliverance Shall Come!

Verse 2 – 3 Jesus tells about heaven

John 3:15KJV

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 5:24KJV

24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Romans 10:9-11KJV

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
