Whole Armor 6

Ephesians 6:17-18KJV

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

this is the 6th and the last part of our lesson/sermons concerning the Whole Armor of God.

Our first piece of armor we put on is the Helmet of Salvation! With it we have hope, life, strength!

Psalm 27:1KJV

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Hebrews 6:19NASB95

19     This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil,

All parts of God’s armor are for our defense except one!

The Sword of the Spirit; The Word of God!

Hebrews 4:12NASB95

12     For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

 And then there is Prayer!

1 Thessalonians 5:17NASB95

17     pray without ceasing;

Gods word tells us ask and ye shall receive, ye have not because ye ask not, if we won’t talk to God how will we know if he ever talks to us?
