It was something Christ had taught them that is Love.

The commandment of Moses said Thou shalt Love Thy neighbor as thyself” Israel had made 2 terrible mistakes.

They said neighbor meant only the people of their community they didn’t include anyone else.

They shut everyone else out!

Many “Christians” do the same including only friends and other church members.

2.     they added to this law saying if they were to love their neighbor then they were to “hate their enemy” but this was not God’s law

This Love is Agape love it wishes well; it demonstrates kindness, benevolence, and esteem.

It is a love of sacrifice for others, a love that cares gives, and works for another’s persons good no matter how the person may respond.
