Strong In The Lord

Who are you really fighting? What weapons are you using? Some fight each other, some fight the neighbor and others fight with whoever they can! Many people fight with anger, a lot fight with words the prisons are full of people who fight using guns and knives. What do you use?

Ephesians 6:10-18KJV

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

a.    The Whole Church

a.       V 10 the scripture is to the “Brethren” the entire church! You included!

b.      V11 we must be able to stand not just exist against the devil!

c.       The Wiles of the devil!

1 Peter 5:8KJV

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

b.    Wear and Use the Whole Armor of God

a.       Put on the whole armor!

b.      Verse 12 we don’t just stand against a little red man with a pitchfork and horns we stand against one who is too powerful for just one to stand against!

Jude 9KJV

9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

c.       Remember who we are fighting! It’s not flesh and blood or each other!

Far too many church people out there are too caught up in the cares of this life! They don’t fight against Satan because they just don’t have the time or they are too busy fighting with each other!

Yes it is true in Revelation it is prophesied that Satan loses the war, but don’t forget as far too many do that the battles are many till then and there are a lot of good Christians falling by the wayside every day!

Adolph Hitler lost WW2 but there were a lot of fine boys who went over seas and didn’t come home! There were a lot of smaller battles that the Axis powers won before they fell to the Allies! We must be careful just who it is we are fighting and win the battles in life

Hebrews 12:1KJV

1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

c.     Stand and Fight! Never Give up!

a.       Stand to fight with everything you have been given!

Ephesians 6:13KJV

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Loins girt about with truth! A breastplate of righteousness! Feet shod with gospel of peace! A shield of faith! A helmet of salvation! The Sword of the Spirit the word of God!

b.      Stand strongly with prayer never forget to pray!

1 Thessalonians 5:17KJV

17 Pray without ceasing.

c.       Don’t be a lost cause! Or a battle that was given up!

To this day children are still taught about wars past that we won but not much is said about the battles we lost, the men and women that died! Today Churches are splitting over nothing, Christians are falling by the wayside where do you stand?
