No One Person Makes Up A Church Everyone Is Of Equal, And Great Importance!

Church, some attend, many don’t have the time, but everyone is important here in this house. We are in the house of God! You have entered into the Holy of Holies when you come before an altar in this church!

Hebrews 10:19-25KJV

19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

We come to church with too much on our minds sometimes too much that has nothing to do with God! The Jewish high priest spent a full week alone in an apartment in the Temple in study and meditation before the Day of Atonement. Then only day per year would he would enter the Holy of holies!  You can enter freely and come before the presence of God whenever you want to! So we should come most often! You are important!

1. “It won’t hurt if I miss, nobody will notice”

a.       Jesus will notice if even one person isn’t assembled there!

Luke 15:4-5KJV

4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? 5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

b.      Draw near to Jesus with a true heart! This is your time to get close to God! Don’t waste that time!! Every one of you is part of this body!

1 Corinthians 12:12-14NASB95

12 For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many.

The body of Christ the church is made up of many members and you are one! And you are an important part of that church here in Owingsville!

c.        Verse 23 Hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering! Times get hard, terrible things happen but we must hold on to our faith!

2. “I don’t really matter, I’m not that important”

a.       no matter how unimportant you think you are God gave His Son to die for you! That makes you important!

1 Corinthians 12:15-19NASB95

15 If the foot says, “Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear says, “Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired. 19 If they were all one member, where would the body be?

b.       Even the articles we don’t think about are of great importance when we lose them.

Luke 15:8-9KJV

8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? 9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

3. “what about my pain”

a.       This is one thing that makes church special we are a family we suffer together! We rejoice together!

1 Corinthians 12:26-27NASB95

26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. 27 Now you are Christ’s body, and individually members of it.

b.       We are all members together of one body the body of Christ! Let’s not allow ourselves to slip away for any reason!

Hebrews 10:25KJV

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

c.        Look at the things going on in the world! The day is approaching! People are starting to forget how terrorism feels on this soil! “when they say peace and safety”

1 Thessalonians 5:3KJV

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

1 Corinthians 3:9-11 (NASB95)

9     For we are God’s  fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.

10     According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it.

11     For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
