Psalm 2

God Laughs

It is laughable to think that anything could stand against God.

God’s work is absolutely sure (vs6-8).

Jesus showed the extent of God’s power (Acts 4:27-28).

God laughs at the raging so there is nothing in this world to fear.

God Judges

A challenge to God’s rule will be met with the challenger put in His place.

It is terrifying to be on the wrong end of the wrath of God (Hebrews 10:31).

Jesus proves that God judges sin.

We’ve all raged and deserve to perish, but God doesn’t leave us there.

God is our Refuge (vs10-12)

We must heed God’s warning and be wise.

Our hope for refuge is in going to the very One we offended.

The death and resurrection of Jesus is what brings all of this together.

The cross shows God’s power, His wrath, and is our salvation.
