/God our caregiver./

The last few weeks we have seen how God provides and protects us through out our lives.

Tonight we look at the postlude of this Psalm which sums up the attributes of God who is our caregiver.

Some of you in this church are caregivers to you loved ones.

You exhaust all of your energy, time, and financial resources to make sure they are properly cared for.

This is exactly how God provided for us through His Son Jesus because before the foundation of the world, Christ was slain, and it cost Jesus His life to provide the most comprehensible coverage that would take away our sin and afford us with eternal life.

God never tires from helping us; He is longsuffering, not willing that any should perish.

He offers His supernatural care for us daily.

God our caregiver is very loyal; loyal regardless our mood, attitude, or our emotions.

He showers us with His overabundant mercy and His relentless love even though we don’t deserve it.

Look who is following you.

The Hebrew word for /follow /means to “pursue after.”

It is a military term.

It is also like an animal in pursuit.

God’s steadfast love is not to harm you or defeat you, but He is determined to overtake your circumstances with His everlasting mercy and love.

When you feel out of control, when your body breaks down, and your finances evaporate before your eyes just look out over your shoulder because God your personal caregiver has sent out His abundant grace to assure you that He is greater than anything that invades your life to bring destruction.

He will pick you up, and clean you up and minister you your every need.

So, when you are faced with difficulty, a dilemma emerges, or a disaster drops in your lap just know that in the middle of your chaos, the mercy and love of God will arise to the occasion and rule over you.

As our caregiver, God provides His skilled watchfulness and administers His self-sacrifice out of His perfect love.

Jesus said in John 10:11 ESV, “I am the good shepherd.

The good shepherd lays down His life for His sheep.”

Christ put His life on the line for us to demonstrate His marvelous love for us.

Look at the duration.

The Hebrew word for /dwell/ means “To remain, to sit, to abide.”

If we notice through this Psalm and parallel it with our life you will find God’s provisions.

He has placed us in green pastures, He has lead us beside the still waters, walked us through dark and difficult territories [and we have the testimonies to prove it] and now we are privileged to stay with the Lord in His prepared place for days without end.

We should be *proud* to belong to God.

We should be *bold* to proclaim His goodness.

His presence guarantees us no shortages or lack; His presence guarantees us abundant life.

Thank God we don’t have to live a lifeless and miserable life that deflates any human potential but a life full of blessing, rich in grace, knowing that one day-there will be no pain, tears, or death but only the presence of God for eternity.

Have you allowed God to come in your chaotic life of sin and be your one and only caregiver?

Have you allowed God to come into your confused life and provide you everlasting peace?
