Lord. God we thank you for the many blessings. You have given all of us, got me. We asked you to take this offering. As a token of our understanding of God. You are the provider and sustainer of each of us all that we have is yours to God. Bless it in Jesus name that your ministry can be done in this community. We pray all this in your holy name. Amen. To that may be heated.

I'm going to stop at the pole breaker with my wire is not working. So I'll try to be entertaining from up here this morning for you. What's free?

God May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable. In your sight oh Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Amen. So today we are going to be talking about how even leave and be useful. I'm going a little bit off of, I'm not using the lectionary text today, I decided not to but I'm going to try to enter wine some other text that I asked this morning to the first question is, what can I preach about last week? Who knows what I preached about last week?

Yes, both Amy Ethiopian eunuch, right? And we talked about how full up was called by the Lord is with such a place and a specific person to spread God's message, write the message of Salvation. We've been speaking about laser evangelism, over the last couple weeks in today, Zach passage it talks about the Holy Spirit and how God or not only reads on the Holy Spirit on to the disciples, which we read in previous weeks, but now all the Gentiles received a gift of the Holy Spirit who began to speak in tongues and do other things. And those other parts of scripture that said they thought other these people were actually drunk because they were walking out of your mind. Some people thought it was a gift of God upon the Gentile Believers. And so, what I'm telling you this morning is don't neglect the Holy Spirit Sometimes we are afraid of what the Holy Spirit can do. And when I was growing up in the church, I can't remember too many sermons on the Holy Spirit. We often treat, as I said before, those are as a redheaded stepchild, right? We already talked about it. And in fact, it's the Holy Spirit and the holy spirit's conviction on our hearts, that bring us into a relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord and savior, because we are sinful human beans. And, without the gift of the Holy Spirit, we are lost sheep without a Shepherd. Don't text this morning, and we have some here for the Feast of the scripture. Out of talk about the love of God and how we are to abide and God's love and the moon and him, how we are, you know, how Jesus laid down his life for his friend? And how does the greatest gift? That a person can get there? And I really want to reflect on that on my cocaine. Would I be willing to give My wife for my front, right? But I'd be willing to do that. That's what God did for us on the cross today. We talked about needs and how to help or useful. And we also talked about. We, so what are some good uses for weeks? We can make bread with wheat. We can make beer Suites. What else can we do a tweet, anybody? Those are the two main things I can think of, but I'm sure there's a lot of other uses for wheat or whatever. Be at Weeks, we're going to talk about that oatmeal for breakfast. Happy that my Cody. Also, I course, you would know that. That's good. Yes, I actually read last night I learned something a Baptist Minister invented bourbon whiskey I didn't know that and I'm thinking to myself now they don't drink any alcohol but a Baptist Minister made bourbon, it was just an interesting tidbit fell out in the country out in Clewiston, Florida. And every time I drive to Clewiston, I want you to imagine that certain part of the season, the poop plant in Dundalk. Expense bright, and Ricky really mention with a white woman wheelchair, how bad the poop plant smells well while you drive to Kirsten, and there will be burning. The sugar came because what do you do, what the sugar cane is crafted, didn't throw it all the way up there over. Well, will they were actually doing the spoiling a renewable resource. Let me ask ass ones, all the tractor trailers in, Iowa farm equipment, there in Clewiston. So really, what's cool about it? Is they are negative carbon footprint for a farm, use this for the good of all of us because you have sugar, Corporation is the largest sugar manufacturer in the country, so he loves soda in a cold. Dr. Pepper, I'm a dr. Pepper fan. So without it, we can't have it now here in America, I guess and use corn syrup now. But the good stuff has real sugar. I love sugar and More sugar, Corporation is able to use all of the plant that mean it's important because we have the good stock with the sugar in it. And then they take, what is left over the bad and lose it for Dre. And I often wonder if, you know, and I'm like, how many times do we now use everything? Our ancestors, when they killed an animal, they used all of it. Now, we're kind of, I don't know spoiled, we don't have to, we can go to the grocery store. Will get what we need and race as much as we want. I mean Americans waste so much food and so much resources. It's it's ridiculous. I bet today that horrible smell. The smell of the Dundalk to plant the smell of the sugar burning. So that sugar that was made into a renewable resource, and thank God and Dundalk. You have that plant, right, bad things smelly things sometimes are used for good, right? Before we'll talk a little bit about how the weeds, Even we going to use for that, Jesus was responding to religious leaders about what the kingdom of heaven will be like. And who most importantly, we have a thing ever happened to me to read the text or what and Jesus told them another horrible between them. And I was like someone who played a good seed and was filled. Arab people are sleeping and enemy carrier and play the weeds among the wheat. And where were they? Illumise talks crowd in the board rain during the week. Also appeared. I'm a servant of the landowner came and said to him, Master didn't you plant good seed in your field or how is it that I have weed? An enemy has done this, he answered and said to her, you don't want us to go and gather them.

But the landowner said, no, because if you gather the weed, you'll pull up the week along with them. I let both grow side-by-side in for the Harvest and I'm Harvest time. I'll say to the Harvesters first gather, the weeds and tie them together and bundles to be bored and bring them into my barn. And he told another Parable for that, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and planted in his field. It's a small, small seed. That woman is grow. It is the largest of all vegetable plants and becomes the tree. It is a bird in the sky come and nest in its branches. They told him another terrible. For senior housing is waikiki's which I woman choking. A vessel wheat, flour, and Toby, he's had work its way through all the death.

Are Jesus out all these things for the crowd in Parables and he spoke to them only in parables. And this was the hotel with the prophets spoke, I'll speak in Parables. I'll look, there has been hidden since the beginning of the world. Jesus left at the house and willing to his house and his disciples came to him and fed explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field. And universe reply the morning plants. The Good Seed is the human one. The field is the real and the good seeds are the followers of the Kingdom. But there we are the fires of the evil one. Any remaining plants of them is the devil and the Harvest is the end of the present age and the Harvesters are the Angels. I'm just as people got a weeds and burn them in the fire. They will be at the end of the present age. any human one will send his angels and then we'll gather out his kingdom and all things that cause people to follow day, and all people who sent, Anyway, I throw them into a burning furnace and people there will be weeping and grinding their teeth. And then the righteous will shine like the sun and her father's getting them those who have ears to hear.

I believe it's at the end of it. All right. So so again, looking at this text Jesus tells us what the Kingdom of Heaven is going to be like he tells us who's going to be there. It's a problem is here and American Christianity, less and less limitations on, who is going to the kingdom of heaven. We would be a free-for-all, but only the rules that we want. Apply to write that all people will go to heaven, no matter what path they take. That is the American way. It's almost. So I don't know if this revolution here happening in the country, but I tell you, it's a false gospel. Write the Gospel of Jesus tells us there is one pathway for the Kingdom of Heaven. That there is an exclusive nests of Christianity. That is true. But I must follow Jesus Christ as the Good Shepherd to have eternal life. So, do you guys know who this guy is? Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He is known as the father of Christian ethics, and I might have mentioned him one other time. I stole it out of the library at the church this morning. So it is available to rent out for your reading teacher Bonhoeffer died. At 39 years old, as a martyr for the faith. He was a Lutheran. Pastor in Germany and he spoke up. And if the Nazis and they sell them for, what they hung up. Bayside Vista off this morning.

Cheap. Brakes is a preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance baptism without church discipline communion about confession Absolution without personal compassion, cheap Grace is Grace, without discipleship, Grace, without the cross braids, without Jesus Christ, Living incarnate, Are to be honest with your this exclusive, this is the only reason why I myself would be willing to risk it all for Jesus. It's the only reason why I'm putting my marriage Spirit, my family, my my dick, all of it for Jesus, as I'm sure all of you are. This was our faith gospel and this wasn't real. If I didn't believe in my interview, I would not be standing here. And I don't understand those pastors that are not teaching. This universalism that I have half leave the God, because why risk it? SunTrust. Why did the people of the early church die for the cross if it wasn't real, if it wasn't the only way, it's not a up, a positive thinking message, it's a costly Grace message to buy Hopper continue. He tells us that such Grace is costly because it calls us to follow is a Grace that caused us to follow Jesus Christ. it is costly because it cost a man, his wife is Grace because it gives a man, the only true life it is costly because it can dance end. Angry because it justifies the spinner. Above all, it is costly because it cost God the life of his fun. Jesus died for us, you were bought with a price. And what has caused God, much should not be cheap or us. Above all, it is great because God did not reckon his son, give you a price to pay for our life or delivered him up for us. Costly Grace is the Incarnation of God. To hear Within These passages. Jesus responds for the Kingdom of Heaven is truly light. It's an exclusive one, it's one that is costly. It's warm, where we will be in the kingdom of heaven, with the Lord Jesus Christ, because of the car. In summary about passages they claim that the evil one will indeed be cast it out put together and Bernard I can stop right here and we can have what we call a good old-fashioned Hellfire and brimstone message we can have it all to call and have you guys come get baptized we could do it right from this passage cuz it's true. Jesus is the only way truth life and we will be put together according to the passage. Don't be mad at me be mad at Jesus. OK Google gather bundled and burn together, right? But we're not going to do that, but we're going to talk about. How do we live as Believers of Jesus this morning? How do we in this harsh description that Jesus gives us live and love as the gospel text tells us this morning that we were over there. But we must decide, we must decide. If we want cheap Grace or do we want costly Grace this morning? We want to take up thy cross and follow Christ. AR Rahman.

Look up the trouble in the world that we live in today. We see stories of harm and hurt in the world, and in the church, I'm sure as we reflect on our own lies. We can thank our friends and family members that had difficulties that have had trying times or perhaps it was you right? Borrow a childhood friend, lost his dad in a dear young age and I'm not going to say his name this morning. It was due to addiction. and I who died in the car accident, when he was 8 or 9 years old, And my buddy, that's all he knew, right? And his other parent didn't do much better. Didn't teach and Christian values that this is why I can't continue to emphasize that you are all the Spiritual Reader from your home. You must raise your children up in some of your, the pastor already raised my children are out of the house, will guess what you do? Doesn't mean you're off the hook. It is still your job to continue to try to bring your children and grandchildren and nieces and nephews to know the Lord. I have family members that don't know Jesus and I do take it up and hit my responsibility. For my buddy here, lost the way. He got into some trouble. but, instead of beating the snot out of him, like I wanted to do We talked about Jesus, we talked about what the scripture said how God can heal and restore and he's really, really wrong today. But they had to make a decision. It was like, where is he going to be a, we'd always be going to be weeks for the Lord. Is he going to inspire the day? Be a part of that cost figures? Or is he going to accept cheap Grace and his wife? Today we continue to choose to be. We will be the good stuff for good bread of life, right? The good drink that you can make from the weights instead of being the weed that we are staying Center, I think you guys all understand that. Doesn't mean that we don't have personal struggles and use that. Life is difficult or the youth pastor. He was all about kids are honest. They are so honest. Where they are, they might not be able to hear it but I was in youth pastor. They were honest with me and tell me they struggled with sexual addiction of drugs. The most of the time it was low self-esteem and self-hate. Now I want to tell you this this morning. You are made in the image of God. All of us are made in the image of god. Dammit oneself is that made the very God that made us. We are made in His image.

Tvschools. Is it this morning? Allow both Believers and unbelievers to coexist. The coexist are so you going to be here. What is messed up? Some for people in the world? We're just going to go to church and we're going to avoid him. I'm going to come to church with find out what are bunch of senators to.

You know, I think I do different types of ways to respond to stand in the world. You have our and I've never known him and tell him if he really brothers and sisters writing the Lancaster, right, what am I and what they chose to do is what I stay away from the world and be set apart and then we had those like I former denomination. We belong to the decided, you know what. Let's embrace the whole world and maybe he doesn't know Jesus because we act like them. Maybe if it has to be some type of middle ground in Louisiana, because I got a neutral ground, right? Right in the middle of driving by the house, to be a middle way, is to embrace people, really are a hundred percent embrace them where they are, but we get to be part of that a repentance process that discipleship process. You know what it's costly Because by the end of it, they may hate me. I hate themselves because this is just what you're told us, right? And so, we're going to wait till the end of the Harvest and we will separate them. So, we get 100 years ago, Rocky on this Earth to coexist with Believers and non-believers a hundred years. I probably won't live that long, but I guess sometimes the Cowan whip You know, and maybe we can convert some of those weed to you. Guys, do dandelions grow out in the yard. Yeah. You can chop those up and put them in salad. That's what I hear. They have other things like wild garlic that grows in a while and they have those horrible things that are that you blow and they go all over the place. They got my allergies, all messed up but the weeds but weeds can be used for good. So we can put them on salads. We can get there a central ingredients. And nutrients. But I believe those weeds fun at the end of the age, you can word it, go outside the church and inside the church for the good of God, every unit through the Holy Spirit and we already talked about Nexus morning. The holy spirit's role is to burn people's hearts for good way to put a burning desire in the hearts of the people.

What song will not will not come over. Some will unfortunately be like the bushes that would be gathered together. But we can be right back. We can more bass. Share the love of God, as the passage out of John told us this morning. But we are going to stay at his command. Play some Grace in the stacks, though. Certainly, we need knowledge. Jesus, what is done? that we are inherited into the kingdom of heaven, but we can be like the dandelions sometimes. Sometimes real weed and sometimes we're good for the Harvest. It is possible, believe our life of sin and many ways to fix Our Eyes Upon Jesus and the be like Jesus tells a woman at the, well, to go and sin, no more. Now again, we know or imperfect, We're going to storm but we can certainly try to do better. We can try, we get in whole the costly Grace. So that we can experience the fullness of God and ordered. And in heaven, I don't want to wait for my deathbed to experience that they must have. Got those people that you know, at the end of that bad day, if that's Jesus, is our Lord and savior and they're saying, we're going to go to the kingdom of heaven. That's great that they get to go to get to know how can I do with it? That's what the Bible says. But imagine the life, they raced it not in a relationship with Jesus to that point all the joy they can experience. It's all right. And where do scripture this morning and talks about the joy, the joy of abiding in Jesus,

so, we will co-exist. Google, what is this? But you'll eventually separated Germany Shore then and be rewarded by enjoying his presence forever. So I don't know about you all, but I'm going to be like today in the line this morning. I'm going to be nasty and center the same time and then I was past your check. Said I'm probably the biggest sinner in the church this morning, right? It's me. I still have room for improvement. I still have crimes that I know. I'm less than good. Oh God... You this morning. So, I asked you this morning, the take this word, take the word of the week. Take the word of the scriptures, that somehow all beautifully come together. With them out this week. Because even weeds can be useful. Let us pray. God, use us lose us in our could whistance. With the world. What testimony of the light? Testimony of Your Love. Call to share with Humanity. The grace found only through the cross. Got a Grace that is Cost City yard that we can share internal life, put on Brothers & Sisters. Barbie, we thank you. That you have blessed us with a gift of the Holy Spirit. The Rita's. We love you and praise you in Jesus name, amen.
