i just thank elder Angela for this is opportunity to share the word and some of the things God has placed on my heart
Thank you all for your commitment to the prayer place which in this case is this prayer line
The topic that Elder Angela started us out with this month is Faith
What is FAITH?
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews verse seems to be the go to scripture but it can be confusing or not clear
Here is my thought
Faith is believing that God told you the truth

faith is believing that God is who he says he is
GOD is not a liar He will do what he said
How does faith work? What is the work of faith?
We know how faith comes Romans 10:17 (faith comes by hearing)
We know what faith is Hebrews 11:1 (substance and evidence)(Believing God is not lying)
We know without faith it is impossible to please him Hebrews 11:6
relationship with God is non existent without faith
Daphene Ezekiel sermon is a good example

so how does this faith thing work?

But Jesus teaches us how it works. I think this is the best example in the whole Bible that teaches how Faith Works
22 And Jesus answered saying to them, “Have faith in God. 23 “Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. 24 “Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.
In context, a point of clarity concerning this mountain being taken up and cast into the sea
Jesus is not speaking literally, I’ve heard this interpreted many different ways
This Mountain in this text represents the old covenant law mindset and way of thinking the law of do’s and don’ts. thinking I have to do something to receive from God.
that thinking becomes a stronghold and a barrier to the promises of God
Jesus is saying if you want to receive anything from God, the first thing that must happen is the old covenant mountain must be cast out

the work of faith is found in your words
who ever says to this mountain be taken up
We should not be praying to God about what we should be speaking to
We should not be praying to God about what we should be speaking to
your prayer should be a prayer of thanks and a prayer of praise! for that thing that God gave you authority over
We have authority to speak to the mountain
We have authority over the works of the flesh
We have authority over satan
your prayer should be a prayer of thanksgiving about the things that God has already promised you!
the work of faith is found in your words!
Faith is found in what you say!
Your life is the sum total of what you have been saying!
so when you pray, remember who you are in Christ and use your authority
