Three Dangers of the Tongue

It is Destructive (5-6)

1. Don't be Fooled by Its Size
2. Don't Underestimate Its Influence
• It Can Contaminate Your Body - Your tongue can discolor or stain the whole person and picture it paints is not a pretty one. matt 15:17-20
• It Can Effect Your Whole World - “All the evil characteristics of a fallen world, its covetousness, its idolatry, its blasphemy, its lust, and its greed”–-all are voiced by the tongue with damaging effects! Mark 7:20-23
• It Can Bring Hell to Earth

It is Uncontrollable (7-8)

1. Animals can be controlled by man
2. The tongue can be controlled by God alone. The tongue even comes with its own cage and yet it can not be controlled. 1jn 2 6.
