Living Hope
1 Peter 1:3–9 CSB
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you. You are being guarded by God’s power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. You rejoice in this, even though now for a short time, if necessary, you suffer grief in various trials so that the proven character of your faith—more valuable than gold which, though perishable, is refined by fire—may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him; though not seeing him now, you believe in him, and you rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy, because you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
When going through this passage we see that it starts to mention some weird things that we do not go through willingly But it is something that has been done for us so we are asking for it to be done in return.
We have to ask ourselves what does your hope look like. For us to do that we will have to first ask the question what is this hope that we are talking about.

Hope

When we go back to verse 3 and 4 we see the hope it is talking about.
1 Peter 1:3–4 CSB
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.
Our hope is the main fact is that Christ died for each and everyone of us and By trusting in him we have a prize that is waiting for us.
We have an inheritance that will never go away will never Betray us nor forsake us.
Our is that we will get a spot in heaven and would be rewarded for all the pain and suffering that we go through.
The next thing that we have to look at is are we killing our hope.

Killing our Hope

See we just read about our hope being alive and is taking care if business. but what about when we go through those times of Suffering.
see the truth is we go through these trials in order to do exactly what peter is saying right here it is in order to prove the character of our faith.
In other words it is ment to test how much we are willing to trust God and cling to him in our time of need.
But think about those time we do suffer how easy is it to trust in God when we are going through a hard time like
Drugs
boy/girl problems
your past catching up to you
how about not having things that everyone else has.
right it is so easy to trust God right.
No we are more likely to go the other way and run as fast as possible.
See we let these thing invade our happiness and tend to turn our backs on God forgetting that God suffered first.
WE rather kill the hope we have rather than run toward it.
So the main question is are you killing your hope?

Is your Hope Alive?
