Judges 16:16–20 CSB
Because she nagged him day after day and pleaded with him until she wore him out, he told her the whole truth and said to her, “My hair has never been cut, because I am a Nazirite to God from birth. If I am shaved, my strength will leave me, and I will become weak and be like any other man.” When Delilah realized that he had told her the whole truth, she sent this message to the Philistine leaders: “Come one more time, for he has told me the whole truth.” The Philistine leaders came to her and brought the silver with them. Then she let him fall asleep on her lap and called a man to shave off the seven braids on his head. In this way, she made him helpless, and his strength left him. Then she cried, “Samson, the Philistines are here!” When he awoke from his sleep, he said, “I will escape as I did before and shake myself free.” But he did not know that the Lord had left him.

Samson

First thing we have to do is discuss on who in fact is Samson.
Samson is a Nazirite with a vow.
Nazirite- IS someone that is know by staying away from certain actions in order to follow God.
The Actions are
Never to Cut their Hair
Never partake in anything that is of grapes or alcohol.
They had to avoid Dead people at all cost no matter what. (Even Family Member)
First thing to understand this was not a choice that Samson got to make it was made by his mother.
Next This is something that takes a commitment to proceed or your doomed to fail.
Now lets talk about Samson.
He was married to a Philistine woman( which is a big no no )
who betrays him and ends up dying. Samson Avenges her.
Finally Samson falls in love with a prostitute that leads us into this passage here.

Delilah

See Delilah is this cause of our passage tonight.
See Delilah was someone that started to gain the attention of our Dear Friend Samson. Then uses the love that Samson has for her to help meet his demise for 1100 Pieces of silver.
See she was almost what you would call as a dress rehearsal for what We were going to see happen to Christ.
See Samson fell in love with Delilah and was willing to do anything for her. But Samson also had a close connection with God till the person he loves sold him out pulling him away from God.
This relates to us so much more than we would like it to.
What is something that you love or someone that you love.
Has that thing/Person pulled you from God

Your Betrayer

If the answer is yes understand that is your betrayer. That is the exact moment of what is happening.
Something that is pulling you from God is betraying you because you know what your vow with God is.
Good news is you do not have to lose hope there is a way that can help you overcome this.
If you read this to the end of the Chapters
We see that Samson end up praying and coming back to God. That is all we have to do.
