As we begin a three-part series on the Transfiguration, we will this morning be looking at the occasion when Moses saw God in his glory on Mount Sinai. On that mountain, as Moses conversed with God and got to see him in a way that no-one else had since the Garden of Eden, God showed him - and us - three aspects of himself: his holiness (in his rejection of anything evil, for he is a wholly good God), his grace (in allowing us to come near to him and be in relationship with him, despite our rebellion), and his glory (which is so radiant that Moses could only see it in part). As we together see what Moses saw, let us too bow down in worship of our holy, gracious and glorious God!
