The Resurrected Christ Provides Purpose

Jesus sent the disciples with the same ministry, method, and mission that He had received from the Father.

His Ministry - He Came to Show

Jesus reveals the nature of God. God in the flesh.
John 14:9 ESV
9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

His Method - He Came to Serve

Jesus’ method is to serve others in love, in contrast to the world’s methods.
Matthew 20:26–28 ESV
26 It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, 28 even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

His Mission - He Came to Save

Jesus’ mission is to bring salvation to the lost. Luke 19:10 - seek and save the lost.
His ministry, method and mission has been passed on to us.
