In an interview - Rev. Christopher Ash - responded: “The Cross shows that at the heart of history there is undeserved suffering that makes possible undeserved blessing; that because a righteous man suffered, unrighteous people like us can experience mercy and grace. This is the wisdom of the Cross (1 Cor.1:18-2:5). Job foreshadows this great truth.”
Elihu - a bridge between Job and God (an advocate) - Jesus is our advocate between us and the God the Father on his throne
First verse - “blameless and upright”
Satan said - “of course! You have blessed him. Take that away and see what he does.”
Job - lost everything: livestock, possessions, servants, family (except his wife) - “while he was still speaking”
Satan - said but he has his health - permission to afflict without killing

Some conversations with God - defend himself to his wife and friends (an to us!) “I am innocent!” - often questions toward God - and God does answer later in this ordeal
After surviving Satan’s test - Job is restored and blessed beyond measure
There is a few verses in the middle of Job that seem to sum up his stead fast behaviour through all that has happened to him

25 I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.

27 I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!
THE WORD OF GOD, FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD.
Christianity has appropriated this scripture for it fits what we know about the cross and the empty tomb. Many scholars state that Job did not have a glimpse of Easter but was certain that he would be vindicated even if it was after his death.

We can do that, too. God has redeemed us through Jesus - He is our redeemer. He Lives!
