The Mystery of God, of the Father and of Christ

Colossians 2:1–10 NKJV
1 For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, 2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4 Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words. 5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. 6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
There is a knowledge of the mystery of God that God’s people must attain to inorder to unlock all the hidden treausre of wisdom and knowledge .
It is a mystery because it is something that is hidden but is revealed through revelation.
This mystery involves two things, The Father and Christ.
What is this Mystery.
The mystery of God the Father
The Mystery of The One God, The Father
This Mystery was hidden to all nations except for God people, Israel in the Old Testament.
Old Testament
Malachi 2:10 NKJV
10 Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously with one another By profaning the covenant of the fathers?
Deuteronomy 6:4–7 NKJV
4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. 6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
Deuteronomy 32:39 KJV 1900
39 See now that I, even I, am he, And there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: Neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
Isaiah 43:10–12 NKJV
10 “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. 11 I, even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no savior. 12 I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, And there was no foreign god among you; Therefore you are My witnesses,” Says the Lord, “that I am God.
New Testament
Ephesians 4:4–6 NKJV
4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
1 Corinthians 8:4–6 NKJV
4 Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one. 5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), 6 yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.
It is clear from both the Old and New Testament that there is only one God who is the Father,
The One true God, The father is invicible because he is a Spirit
1 John 4:12 NKJV
12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
1 Timothy 6:15–16 NKJV
15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.
John 4:24 NKJV
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
God the Father, he is the Word
John 1:1 NKJV
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Genesis 1:1–3 NKJV
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

The coming of Christ in the New Testament (new Thing)

1 Timothy 2:3–6 NKJV
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,
Inorder to understand who this man is, we have to understand the relationship between God and Man in the Old Testament.
This is because the man came into the scene (equation) to be a mediator between God and man.
Genesis 2:7 NKJV
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
God creates man from the dust of the ground, and he places in man the spirit of life.
The Man is reffered to as ‘he’ and ‘him’ before the spirit of life enetered him.
Remember that empty physical body is called Man and then Living being (living soul) when the spirit of life entered
Man represents the physical apsect of the person that has come from the dust
This is why God reffers both male and females as man because they have the same body that he formed from the ground
Genesis 5:1–2 YLT
1 This is an account of the births of Adam: In the day of God’s preparing man, in the likeness of God He hath made him; 2 a male and a female He hath prepared them, and He blesseth them, and calleth their name Man, in the day of their being prepared.
KJV says Adam while NKJ says mankind. “man” is the correct translations
Romans 5:12–14 NKJV
12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—13 (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.

The problem that caused a separation between us and God.

This man brought sin into the World.
It does not matter if it is Eve or Adam, both are man they have the same body
Every living being ( Living soul) that is partaker of this man, was partaker of sin and death
The solution was finding another man
Isaiah 59:1–2 NKJV
1 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.
Isaiah 59:12–16 NKJV
12 For our transgressions are multiplied before You, And our sins testify against us; For our transgressions are with us, And as for our iniquities, we know them: 13 In transgressing and lying against the Lord, And departing from our God, Speaking oppression and revolt, Conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. 14 Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter. 15 So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Then the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him That there was no justice. 16 He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained Him.
God sought for man and an intercessor (mediator) to stand between him and God but found no one.
His arm became the man and intercessor,
His Arm is the Word that was made flesh.
John 1:14 NKJV
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Take two people to illutsrate this point
God made the new man from his own nature “his Word”
He did not breath the breath of life into him but rather he manifested himslef through him. He enclosed himslef in that body
1 Timothy 3:16 NKJV
16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.
1 Corinthians 15:45 NKJV
45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
Why? because it was the Life Giver enclosed in that flesh
There is one God, the father and one body (man) between God and man
God mediate and reconciled man to himslef through this body (man)
2 Corinthians 5:18–19 NKJV
18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Hebrews 9:13–14 NKJV
13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Acts 20:28 NKJV
28 Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
It’s Christ’s (body) blood and it is also God’s blood.
God without the body ( the man christ) could not redeem mankind because he has no blood. At the same time the man Christ coulud not redeem man without God because without the eternla spirit he has no blood. It is just like my spirit has no blood without my body, and my body has no blood without my spirit.

Undertanding the scriptures through this mystery

Passage 1
1 Corinthians 8:6 NKJV
6 yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.
Hebrews 1:1–4 NKJV
1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Christ is the image of the invincible God
John 14:8–9 NKJV
8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
Passage 2
John 5:18–23 NKJV
18 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. 19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. 22 For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, 23 that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
Passage 3
John 14:28 NKJV
28 You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.
The Spirit (God the Father) is greater than the body (The Son)
Passage 3
Mark 13:32 NKJV
32 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
The Spirit is where the knowledge comes from not the body.
Philippians 2:5–11 NKJV
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Christ, the flesh , was the Word of God, the form by which God existed before the manifestation.
When he proclaim to be God in the flesh, he was not robbing God of his diety because he was God in phyiscal form.
When the Word (form of God) was made flesh, it was made in the likeness of men.
He humbled himslef and became obedient to the point of death. Which means he chose to obey the laws of nature that govern man’s life even death. This is why he slept, hundgered, thirsted, ate, grew and etc. He subjected himself to the laws of nature so and through it he displayed his humility.
That body has been exalted to the place of the Throne of God and has been given the name above every name the name Jesus.
Conclusion
Colossians 2:2–10 NKJV
2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Don’t be spoiled by philosophy,
Concluding Passage
1 Timothy 6:14–16 NKJV
14 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, 15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.
who is the King of Kings and Lord of Lord whom Jesus Christ is going to reveal when he appears.
Revelation 17:12–14 NKJV
12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”
The same event is spoken of in the below verse. the event is coming of Jesus Christ
Revelation 16:11–21 NKJV
11 They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds. 12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” 16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. 17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!” 18 And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. 19 Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. 20 Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21 And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.
When Jesus Christ come, he is going to reveal himslef as he truly is, the King of kings and Lord of lords.
He will Return as the God the Father, with all his glory
Matthew 16:27 NKJV
27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.
Lets praise him for this wonderful mystery.
