God's Promises- Genesis 14:1-16

We learned about the initial promises of God to Abram back in 12:1-3. What we have seen, and will continue to observe as we work our way through Genesis, is how God fulfills His promises.
We have before us a testimony to the power and working of God, which can encourage us to rely on the promises of God. Furthermore, and perhaps more important, we have an example of how the Lord worked His promise. In this passage it seems that God’s promises are fulfilled in an unlikely way, with unlikely people.
There is much for us to learn, so let us look at God’s Promises here in the first half of Genesis chapter 14.
