The chief priests and the Pharisees convince Pilate to position a guard at the tomb (Matthew 27:62-66)
Sabbath day, a day of rest (Luke 23:56b)
Mark and John don’t even mention this day at all
Book of Esther is a great example, God is not mentioned in that book, we do not have 1 single explicit mention of His work, yet it is clear that His guiding hand was present in the entire story, bringing Esther to the exact position she needed to be in to bring salvation to her people.
Do you feel like God is working in your story right now?
Can I tell you that He is?
Romans 8:26–28 ESV
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Even when we are weak, the Spirit is working on our behalf.
Not everything is good, but everything will be used for good, according to God’s will
Not a promise of sunshine and rainbows and fat bank accounts, but of rest in Christ in the glorious kingdom of God
