This Palm Sunday we will trace through the narrative of scripture the anticipation of a king who would save his people and contrast this suffering Messiah’s salvific work from the nationalistic expectations many held that first Palm Sunday. Might we ask God to conform any of our own misconceptions to the true identity of Messiah and the sacrificial calling he has given to each of us as we humbly submit under his Lordship.
