2 Kings 6:8–18 NIV84
8 Now the king of Aram was at war with Israel. After conferring with his officers, he said, “I will set up my camp in such and such a place.” 9 The man of God sent word to the king of Israel: “Beware of passing that place, because the Arameans are going down there.” 10 So the king of Israel checked on the place indicated by the man of God. Time and again Elisha warned the king, so that he was on his guard in such places. 11 This enraged the king of Aram. He summoned his officers and demanded of them, “Will you not tell me which of us is on the side of the king of Israel?” 12 “None of us, my lord the king,” said one of his officers, “but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words you speak in your bedroom.” 13 “Go, find out where he is,” the king ordered, “so I can send men and capture him.” The report came back: “He is in Dothan.” 14 Then he sent horses and chariots and a strong force there. They went by night and surrounded the city. 15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh, my lord, what shall we do?” the servant asked. 16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes so he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 18 As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, “Strike these people with blindness.” So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.

1. We need eyes to see what God reveals

Elisha was being told what the enemy was planning
The enemy thought he had a leak in his staff
When God is for you, He will reveal what the enemy is trying to do against you
God is still speaking to His prophets/seers
Prophets/seers/leaders need to repent for bending the knee against the enemy
God is still revealing secrets
Open My Eyes to see what you are revealing

2. Faith is the key that opens eyes to see

Faith is being sure of what we hope for
Faith is being certain of what we do not see
God works in the invisible and makes things visible to seers
The spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet
1 Corinthians 14:32 NIV84
32 The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets.
You won’t see what you don’t believe
You won’t unsee what you believe
We need faith to have our eyes opened
Open My Eyes

3. Don’t let your natural eyes deceive you

If your eyes are deceiving you, close them
Close your eyes and ask God to open your spiritual eyes
We have to be able to see beyond what is in front of us
We have to look up to see what God is revealing
Be an eagle and rise above you circumstances
The Lord will close the enemy’s eyes
The enemy will be blinded so that you can rout them
Blind my enemies
Open My Eyes

4. You don’t need to see to see what God reveals

Elisha was still able to see even though he was inside
The servant went out and saw the enemy
When you are not prepared, you will only see what is in front of you
God has made you champions
God has made you victorious
God is for you
God made you the head
God made you above only
God made you a conqueror
You can do all things through Christ
Open My Eyes to see the unseen

5. Open my eyes to my victory

We need insight
We need foresight
Don’t let fear blind you to the victory that is already yours
God is able to do immeasurably
Our God has unlimited Power
We need unlimited vision
We need a new way of thinking
The attacks are there because we are close to our breakthrough
You can cry about what is happening to you or you can rejoice for the victory
Your victory is on the other side of this trial
Don’t be afraid
Be courageous to believe the impossible
Be courageous to see the invisible
Be courageous to experience your miracle
God doesn’t need permission from the enemy to bless you
No weapon can prosper against you
Open my eyes—I want to see my victory
Open my eyes—I want to experience my miracle
Open my eyes—I want to see those that are for me
