The Mistreatment of the King John 18:13-27 - Jesus was illegally taken to Annas (12-14) - Peter cowardly denied Jesus (15-18,25-27) - Jesus was illegally questioned (19-23) - Jesus was illegally tried by the Sanhedrin (24) Matthew 26:57-68 Proverbs 6:16-19 - 16 There are six things which the LORD hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to him; 17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run rapidly to evil, 19 a false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers. 1 Peter 2:11-23 When we suffer unjustly as Christians, we are called to follow Jesus' example by maintaining our godliness no matter what, like He did. Jesus is our prime example of how to remain godly even when we are treated unjustly.
