  • Ephesians 4:22, 24 “...put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires… put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
  • Col. 3:5, “…put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature.”
  • James 4:7-8; 1 Cor. 3:1-3; Romans 8:13

3.) Consider yourself able to live a holy life.

  • Romans 6:4b, “...just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
  • 2 Cor. 5:17-18, “...If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone the new has come! All of this is from God…”
  • Phil. 4:13, “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”
  • Galatians 2:20, “…The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God…”
  • 1 Peter 1:14-16, “As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy.’”
