Hebrews 10:12–13 ESV12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet.
When and how will the enemies of God be made a footstool for His feet?
Romans 16:19–20 ESV19 For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil. 20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
God’s enemies are under His feet when, “our obedience is known by all.” God’s enemies as under our feet and are crushed when we practice wisdom. God’s enemies are under our feet and crushed when we are innocent of evil. Because of our union with Christ we have power over the evil that once ruled us. We can now rule over it. God’s enemies are smashed when the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ is with us.
