1. Friendship with the world causes problems

James 4:1-5
v. 1 - “What is the source of wars and fights among you?”
James points to the sermon on the mount
“murder & covet”
“asking & receiving”

2. Friendship with God leads to blessing.

James 4:6-10

3. Friendship with Brothers & Sisters in Christ leads to unity and sound doctrine.

James 4:11-12
James again points back to the sermon on the mount
“who are you to judge your neighbor?”
