We live in a time when we are reaping the consequences of unchecked evil in our world, country, and even in our churches. We not longer call sin, sin, but applaud wickedness, and the fear of God is almost non-existent.
So what does God do when we get to this point? Does He care? Will He respond?
In this first lesson from the book of Joel, we will discover how God responds to His covenant people Judah, who had reached a very similar level of wickedness. We will see that God’s response is the proclamation of His powerful word to the prophet Joel. With that in mind, let’s read Joel 1:1.
