Intro:
Choose between right an wrong examples: Have three
Killing Vs. Feeding; Harming Vs. Helping; Loving Vs. Hating
See its easy to say what is right and wrong correct? Or maybe it isn’t so easy. Sometimes it is hard to judge because we don’t know the whole situation. Sometimes it gets harder to judge because we don’t know the people or why they are doing what they are doing. However, when we have the context of the situation, can we truly judge rightly, the world says no, but the Bible says yes, look what it says in
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Don’t judge me! A phrase credited to the Bible, that has been used by secular people probably more than any other verse, at least in the last 20 years. But is this really what the Bible has said? Are we truly not to judge people or their circumstances?
I contend that this is not what the Bible says at all, but another way that Satan has taken the Word of God and twisted it through people’s minds in order to provide a foothold for sin to thrive in their lives. When someone says don’t judge me, I am often taken aback, especially if it is a Christian person. Do we not want to be judged? Doesn’t judgment bring about change and change bring about betterment in our lives? Wells lets take a look at the Bible and see what it really has to say on the issue, beginning in Matt 7 in verse 1.

School grades, science fairs and what about our car mechanic. We like when we perceive that people judge us to help, but hate it when it seems to attack our flesh. We have to be open to judgement in order to better ourselves
My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.

So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.
Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.

Counseling young people - sometimes I just have to look at them and say this is a waste of our time.
