It’s so easy to approach prayer like a religious routine or ritual. We often call it a ‘discipline’ for that very reason – so we routinely and regularly engage with God. But prayer is first and foremost a conversation with our relational and personable God. And each person of the Trinity is important when it comes to prayer. Each person helps us in our praying and we can relate to each person in different ways. This is part of God’s grace to us – that he relates to us in a variety of ways and hears our prayers. In fact, he doesn’t just hear them – he loves, enjoys and revels in them. So, as we start a four-week series on prayer, let’s consider what it means to pray to Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
