TITT: Many needed healing and release from demon.

Sometimes, it’s obvious when healing is needed.

Simon’s (Peter) mother-in-law was sick with a fever.

She probably lived in Peter’s house because her husband had passed away.
Simon Peter was worried about his mother-in-law.
Fever means there is an infection that can lead to death.

Sometimes, it’s not obvious until true love and power reveals the need.

The demonic is not bothered when there is no power present to reveal it.

Status Quo does not bother the enemy; Potential healing and release does.

Caution: Don’t get confused between humans whom we love, and demons that we silence, bind, and drive out.

Ephesians 6:12 NIV
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

The Great Deceiver, and his minions, look harmless until threatened.

TITW: Today, many need healing and release from demonic oppression.

When illness strikes a loved one, we become afraid for them.

When we don’t know how to tell the difference between illness and evil, we become vulnerable to evil ourselves.

To overcome, we need to know the one who heals and delivers.

GITT: Jesus heals and releases many, near and far.

Jesus heals Simon’s (Peter) mother-in-law.

This is a personal healing with those close to him who can verify what happened.

Jesus healed many people.

Jesus silenced and drove out many demons.

There was a clear difference between those who needed physical healing (evident) and those who needed spiritual healing and release from the demonic (less evident until provoked).
The great deceiver and his minions like to lurk in the shadows, hidden from our awareness.

To release the oppressed, Jesus reveals the demonic.

To prepare, Jesus went off alone to pray.

Jesus was not content to preach in one town and one synagogue, where he was popular for what he could do.

This was not about Jesus’ fame.
His fame were the results of his mission and ministry, and it was temporary for the moment.

The people knew that Good Things were happening near him.

Many people were witnesses of this, and they responded by bringing others for Jesus to heal.

Jesus mission was to come to preach the coming of the kingdom of God.

Suffering is an opportunity for God to love all powerfully to Life, Health, and Peace.
Even if these come at the end of our earthly lives.

Healing subverts the power of the enemy and brings New Life.

Jesus brings health to all of these areas of our lives.

“What if health for?”

God is the source of Shalom. Yahweh-shalom is God who is our peace. The Covenant assures shalom in relation to God.
God’s self is the gift of shalom.
Health is a state of well-being that includes physical and psychological health, is an outgrowth of the relationship we have with God who is our peace.

Understanding our health under faith in Jesus Christ, begins with faith in Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the Messiah, the “Prince of Peace.” (shalom)
Ephesians 2:14 NIV
14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,
1 Corinthians 6:19 NIV
19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
John 14:27 NIV
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

There is no life without Jesus Christ as the Word of Creation.

Jesus is Life.

There is Salvation and Redemption without Jesus Christ.

Jesus is Health.

Health is a Gift of God, for the Glory of God.

Begin with Prayer.

Let us bring the presence, love and power of God into the lives of the ill and oppressed.

Let us advocate for the healing of the sick and freedom of the captive and oppressed.

Let us do it all for the Glory of God.
