The Choice!
In life we make so many choices.
Something that I chose today
The bible is filled with choices that have been made.
God chose to create the world and you.
When God Created the earth He made a beautiful garden and in it He designed mankind with choices.
8 Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed.
9 The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
In the garden of Eden Adam and Eve had a choice to make.
Throughout the next few months we are going to look at the choice we must make everyday that stems from these two choices.
To help us understand the choice Adam and Eve had I want to play “Lets make a Deal!”

In the garden we see that God had made all kinds of trees that were pleasing to the eye, but 1 tree God asked them to not eat from.
Too often we see something that is nice, but we still get stuck wishing for something else or better.

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
15 See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction.
16 For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.
17 But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them,
18 I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.
19 This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live
20 and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
