God doesn’t need our love to feel good about Himself.

Not Obligation

God doesn’t “owe” us anything

Lamentations 3:22

Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.

Not Expectation

God isn’t trying to “live up” to our expectations of Him.

Not Selfishness

God doesn’t love us so we will love Him. But, so we can love Him.
