Simply Saved!

John 5:25 NLT
25 “And I assure you that the time is coming, indeed it’s here now, when the dead will hear my voice—the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen will live.
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith! In Jesus Name
Life is so complicated today. Sometimes we make our lives so complicated that no one is enjoying life.
Just like with the Gospel. We have made it so complicated at times – no one is enjoying salvation and the power it has to save the soul!
There are people who feel that you have to exaggerate the gospel so that it is a little harder to get in.
Others want to doctor the doctrine just a little to make it more appealing to the hearers.
All the clever inventions we come up with will never improve the Gospel that was perfect from the beginning.
If there has ever been a need for preaching and teaching that is plain and simple, it is today.
For us to be able to fully understand exactly what the gospel is, we need to return to the source of the gospel.
In this one, simple verse, the Lord Jesus declares the gospel in a clear and easy to understand manner.
John 5:25 GW
25 “I can guarantee this truth: A time is coming (and is now here) when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who respond to it will live.

The Situation of Salvation

How people are saved.
People are saved by hearing The Gospel Of Jesus Christ
They are saved by committing and obedience to the Gospel Of Jesus Christ
In order to be saved, men must hear The Good news of Jesus Christ
In order to be saved you must follow the teachings of Jesus Christ
In order to be saved you must believe God and believe that God has sent his son Jesus Christ to save you
John 3:16 NKJV
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Romans 5:8 NLT
8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
So here is the result of being saved:

Eternal Life

With salvation you pass from being spiritually dead to spiritually alive
With salvation you go from a state of being condemned for past, present and future sins to a state of justification or right standing with God through the work that Jesus Did on each of our behalf!
When you are saved you are declared righteous and given eternal life!
to get to salvation

People Must Hear the Word

Romans 10:17 NKJV
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:17 The Message
17 The point is: Before you trust, you have to listen. But unless Christ’s Word is preached, there’s nothing to listen to.
Before it can be believed, the Gospel must be heard. God's plan for hearing includes preaching -
1 Corinthians 1:21 NLT
21 Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe.

Here is the Gospel

1 Corinthians 15:3–4 NLT
3 I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. 4 He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said.
It is the story of the death, the burial and the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ
1. The first thing Paul ever preached to the Corinthians was the death of Jesus Christ.
The death of Jesus Christ is so important that it must be the first thing preached.
It is the very foundation of a person's salvation.
Apart from the death of Jesus Christ there is no salvation;
Then you must know

Jesus Christ died for our sins!

The word "for" means for our benefit, for our sake, in our behalf, in our stead, as our substitute.
2 Corinthians 5:15 The Message
15 He included everyone in his death so that everyone could also be included in his life, a resurrection life, a far better life than people ever lived on their own.
Ephesians 5:2 NKJV
2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
The second fact of the gospel is that

Jesus Christ was buried and arose from the dead

1 Corinthians 15:4 NKJV
4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
The burial of Jesus Christ is important, for it proves two significant things.
⇒ It proves that Jesus Christ died. No man is buried unless he is dead.
⇒ It proves the resurrection. The empty tomb is evidence that Christ arose from the dead.
Jesus Christ arose from the dead. The resurrection of Jesus Christ lets those of us who believe know that we shall be raised from the dead!
The resurrection of Jesus Christ proves that God is: that He does exist and care for the earth.
There is no power on earth that can raise a man from the dead.
Only a Supreme, eternal power and Person can do that.
Only God can give life to dead matter and to the dust of the earth.
The very fact that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead proves that God exists and cares for this earth.
The resurrection proves that Jesus Christ is who He claimed to be, the Son of God Himself.
It proves that Jesus Christ was sent to earth to secure righteousness for you and me and you , to die for me and you and rise again for each of me and you!
The resurrection proves that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world.
It proves that Christ is the very One God sent to earth to save men and women boys and girls from eternal separation and to give each of us eternal life
The Bible reminds us
Ephesians 2:1 NKJV
1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,
John 6:44 NCV
44 The Father is the One who sent me. No one can come to me unless the Father draws him to me, and I will raise that person up on the last day.

The Gospel needs to be kept simple!

You And I Must Regard and Respect the Word of God

So today I’m preaching this to you - now hear me:
Hearing or Believing must be taken a step further and put into action,
You must believe the message delivered.
Not just have a casual acknowledgement of the facts
James 2:19 NKJV
19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
I am talking about a type of belief
I am talking about an absolute conviction of your entire being.
I am talking about a conviction that makes the lost sinner realize that every word concerning Jesus is true;
I am talking about a person who stands in need of help, believing that Jesus can bring them the Help
I am talking about a person who needs healing believing that Jesus is a healer
I am talking about a person who needs forgiveness believing Jesus forgives
I am talking about a person who feels alone believing that Jesus is right their with them
I am talking about a type of belief that you stand on no matter what you see or how you feel that the word of God declares it and you live in the declaration of the Word from God
Acts 16:31 NLT
31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”
Acts 16:31 The Message
31 They said, “Put your entire trust in the Master Jesus. Then you’ll live as you were meant to live—and everyone in your house included!”
Ephesians 2:8–9 NLT
8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
You and I are saved by God's grace.
Grace means the favor and kindness of God, but there is a uniqueness about God's favor and kindness.
His favor and kindness are given despite the fact that it is undeserved and unmerited.
Here is the Good News
God has given His grace to us...
even when we curse Him! even when we reject Him! even when we rebel against Him!
even when we are hostile toward him!
even when we deny him! even when we neglect him! even when we have a half-hearted commitment to Him!
even when we worship religion instead of Him!
even in our fake and false worship!.
even when we worship idols!
even when we sin!
The Good News is

Grace is about giving,

but it is giving to people who do not deserve the gift.
What is the gift that God has given?

Jesus Christ is the Grace Gift

God has given His Son, Jesus Christ, to save us.
He did not have to give His Son. God could have wiped us from the face of the earth.
We deserved it, but this is God's grace.
God is full of mercy and love and kindness—by His very nature He is full of these glorious qualities.
Therefore, God was bound to shower His grace upon us.
God was bound to send His Son to save us.

By believing in Jesus, you believe in the God the Father.

Have you taken this step?

The Personality of Salvation

Here me The saved are not waiting to be saved, we are saved!
It is an ongoing thing, but it is as good as done!
Romans 8:28–39 NLT
28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. 29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory. 31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? 33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. 34 Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. 35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We desperately struggles against the pressures and forces both within ourselves and outside.
We struggle against the weight and discouragement of trials;
We struggle against the pollution and corruption of life;
We struggle against the relentless accusations and bombardments of conscience and law;
We struggle against the pain and decay of these bodies
We struggle against the striking fear and hopelessness of an eternal judgment hereafter.
We struggle against the unknown
We struggle against pain, hurt, sorrow, loneliness, alienation, aging, death, and hell
We struggle with other believers condemnation and judgement
We struggle with trying to get right with God on our own
We need to be freed from all this struggle.
Romans 7:24 NLT
24 Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death?
Here is the Good news
Those who love God and are called by Him will definitely be freed from the bondage and corruptions of this life and ushered into glory.
God assures this. Nothing, absolutely nothing, shall prevent God's plan and purpose from coming about in the life of the believer.

It’s a Done Deal!

John 6:37 NKJV
37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.
John 10:27–29 NKJV
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
The Good News
I now have a total change of life
2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Isaiah 54:17 NKJV
17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.
Here is how God views my sin
Psalm 103:12 NLT
12 He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.
John 3:36 NKJV
36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
Are you saved today? Have you accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior!
Do you know that he and he alone has the power to save and forgive sins!
Do you know that he gives us grace or unearned favor and mercy!
Do you understand that salvation is a free gift, design for us to be with God for eternity.
Do you know that salvation is the protection we have from this cruel crazy dying world!
Do you realize that sin has made us dead, but salvation brings us back to life! You've been thinking about it.
Do you know why? It is that Jesus has place that thought in your mind!
He is calling you and He wants you to accept His will.
Come today and be saved from your sins.
