RESET: Back to the Basics (The Holy Spirit)

Intro: Today we are going talk about one the Elements I feel is the most important for us to RESET!. How many of you know and understand the importance of the work and power of the Holy Spirit in our lives?

How many of you know that we are a Pentecostal church? We Pentecostals like the fire works right? However I want to tell you that there is much more to the Holy Spirit than tongues, prophecy and fireworks.

This is gonna sound crazy because we always talk about the “baptism” but there is also an “indwelling.” The indwelling is the very first thing that takes place in our lives!

Indwelling vs. Baptism

Today, I want to discuss 5 things the Holy Spirit does in the life of every believer and how they are ESSENTIAL to the life of every believer.

With that in mind lets talk the 5 things the Holy Spirt does for us.

The Holy Spirit Reveals

1 Corinthians 2:9-11

The Holy Spirit reveals to us, dysfunctions, sin, shortcomings, callings and destinies to us!

It is important to remember as long we are maintain the right relationship with Him, then He will reveal to us, about us what we need to know and what He needs to fix.

The Holy Spirit Helps and Guides

The Holy Spirit Leads

What makes us think that we can honestly do life without the leading of the Holy Spirit? If Jesus was led by Him then how much more should we be led by the spirit?

Jesus was “led” in to the wilderness. (Matthew 4:1)

When ones life is led by the sprit, then our identify comes to life!
