The fall. The "great divide" we see in scripture. In Genesis 1 we see the creation come to pass and in chapter 2 we witness God’s original plan for mankind. Chapter 3 begins with, “Now the serpent...” Satan enters the picture and calls the trustworthiness of God into question. Adam and Eve are deceived and in doing so, exercise their freewill resulting in the fall. Their situation – that is, the dilemma that they faced in making their decision – is the same dilemma we face today.
