Theme: YOU WILL RECOVER ALL. Sub- Title: FOUR STEPS TO RECOVERY. KEY SCRIPTURE: 1 Samuel 30:1-8. 01/10/2021. 1 Samuel 30:1-8 1Now it happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire, 2 and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way. 3 So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive. 4 Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep. 5 And David's two wives, Ahinoam and Abigail had been taken captive. 6 Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was [a]grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God. 7 Then David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, "Please bring the ephod here to me." And Abiathar brought the ephod to David. 8 So David inquired of the LORD, saying, "Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?" And He answered him, "Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all." THE KEY WORD HERE IS RECOVER: 1. a return to a normal state of health, mind, or strength. 2. the action or process of regaining possession or control of something stolen or lost. LIFE IS FULL OF EVENTS! AND IN EVERY EVENTS THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM IT, AND OTHERS WHO WILL NOT: IN THE BEGINNING GOD DID NOT MAKE IT SO, IT IS THE WILL OF GOD FOR EVERYONE OF US TO BENEFIT AND PROSPER IN ALL THINGS PERTAINING TO LIFE. IN GENESIS 1:28 "GOD BLESSED MAN AND SAID BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY"! THE WORD "FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY" MEANS PROSPERITY. •BUT BECAUSE OF THE EVIL ACTIVITIES OF THE ENEMY, THE WICKEDNESS OF MAN, AND THE SELFISH INTEREST OF SOME PEOPLE, THE WORLD IS CRYING FOR HELP. •IN 2020 THROUGH CORONAVIRUS WE SAW COMPANIES GOING OUT OF BUSINESS, HARD WORKING PEOPLE LOOSEN THEIR JOBS, FAMILIES LOST THEIR HEALTH INSURANCE, FAMILIES HAVE LOST THEIR HOMES AND ARE NOW HOMELESS. •THERE IS ONE OPEN SECRETE KNOW TO ALL MANKIND, THAT "IT IS EASIER TO DESTROY FORTUNES THAN TO BUILD THEM BACK. •THERE ARE OTHERS ALSO WHO PAINFULLY LOST THEIR LIVES, MAY THEIR SOULS BE RECOVERED BY THE LORD". •THERE IS STILL HOPE FOR THE HOPELESS WORLD: JESUS SAID IT IN MATTHEW 19:26 " Matthew 19:26 26Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." JEHOVAH HAS ALREADY GIVEN HIS APPROVAL FOR YOUR RECOVERY YOU WILL RECOVER ALL! YOU WILL RECOVER ALL! YOU WILL RECOVER ALL! • WHY AM I SO SURE THAT YOU WILL RECOVER ALL? i, BECAUSE GOD LOVES YOU: John 3:16 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. ii, BECAUSE WE BEAR THE NAME OF THE LORD: Daniel 9:19 19LORD, listen! LORD, forgive! LORD, hear and act! For your sake, my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name." For Example: MY FATHER NAMED ME TO HIMSELF, FOR THIS REASON MY MOTHER CANNOT INSULT ME IN FRONT OF HIM. WHY? BECAUSE I BEAR THE NAME OF MY FATHER! iii, BECAUSE IT IS THE WILL OF GOD TO SEE YOU RECOVERING WHATSOEVER THE ENEMY HAS STOLEN FROM YOU. 1. John 5:1-8 1Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish festivals. 2Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. 3Here a great number of disabled people used to lie-the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. 4 5One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. 6When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?" 7"Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me." 8Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." THE FOUR STEPS TO RECOVERY: 1 Samuel 30:6 6David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God. 1, KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT THE RECOVERY: 1 Samuel 30:7-8 7 Then David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, "Please bring the ephod here to me." And Abiathar brought the ephod to David. 8 So David inquired of the LORD, saying, "Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?" And He answered him, "Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all." • MAY YOU PURSUE YOUR ENEMIES: • MAYBE SOME OF YOU IT IS NOT AN ENEMY YOU NEED TO PURSUE: MAYBE YOU NEED TO PURSUE A CAREER, A BUSINESS, A PROFESSION, A LADY, A MAN, AN INTEREST, GO FOR IT! FOR HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU AND HIS STRENGTH IS MADE PERFECT IN YOUR WEAKNESS. Philippians 4:13 13I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. •YOU SHALL SURELY OVERTAKE THEM: MAY JEHOVAH GIVE YOU THE SPEED OF Elijah TO OVERTAKE THE EHAB OF YOUR DAYS, MAY YOU OUTRUN YOUR COMPETITORS. • WITHOUT FAIL: YOU SHALL NEVER FAIL! MAY YOU BE SUCCESSFUL IN ALL OF YOUR ENDEAVORS. • RECOVER ALL: DAVID DID NOT ASK GOD IF HE CAN RECOVER WHAT THE AMELIKITES HAS STOLEN FROM HIM, IT WAS GOD WHO TOLD DAVID TO "RECOVER ALL". 2, BELIEVE IN THE RECOVERY PROCESS: Acts 16:29-31Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 And he brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" 31 So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." Proverbs 3:5-6 5Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. • MAY JEHOVAH PUT YOU IN THE PATH OF RECOVER. 3, CARRY THE RECOVERY MANUAL WITH YOU: Joshua 1:8 8Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 4, OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE COMMANDER IN-CHIEF: 1 Samuel 30:17-19 17David fought them from dusk until the evening of the next day, and none of them got away, except four hundred young men who rode off on camels and fled. 18David recovered everything the Amalekites had taken, including his two wives. 19Nothing was missing: young or old, boy or girl, plunder or anything else they had taken. David brought everything back. • DAVID'S OBEDIENCE TO GOD GAVE HIM LEVERAGE OVER HIS ENEMIES, AND WAS SUCCESSFUL IN RECOVERING ALL THAT HIS ENEMIES STOLE FROM HIM. Deuteronomy 28:1-2 1If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: • THIS IS THE YEAR OF RECOVERY: MAY YOU RECOVER ALL THAT THE ENEMY HAS STOLEN FROM YOU IN JESUS NAME, AMEN!
