Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together! ******************************************************** THE PRELUDE.................................................Variations on the Hymns THE GREETING OF THE CONGREGATION *THE CALL TO WORSHIP...........................From Psalm 145:8-13, 18, 21 Leader: The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. All: All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you. They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might, Leader: So that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. All: Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. Leader: The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. All: My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever. *THE INVOCATION & THE LORD'S PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. *THE HYMN OF PRAISE..................................This Is My Father's World PRIVATE & CORPORATE CONFESSION OF SIN (from the Ten Commandments) All: Most Gracious Lord, we proclaim you to be our King, but our duplicity is exposed by your question, "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you?" Forgive us for disobeying the word of the Lord and failing to keep your commandments. Have mercy on us... for worshiping the gods of our culture and clinging to our own worthless idols, for misusing and not defending your name, for neglecting your holy day and for carelessness in worship, for not honoring our parents or those in authority over us, for murderous hearts and actions, and for failing to protect innocent life, for adulterous thoughts, lustful glances, and impure actions, for taking what is not rightfully ours, cheating, and dishonest gain, for failing to speak the truth and for deceitful words, for discontentment with your blessings and for coveting what belongs to others. Cleanse us from our sin and cause us to submit to your kingly rule in our lives. We pray through Jesus Christ, who ever lives to make intercession for us. Amen. ASSURANCE OF PARDON & PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING Romans 3:21-25 - But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it- the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. *THE PSALM OF WORSHIP..............................Better Is One Day (Psalm 84) *THE TEACHING OF FAITH.........................The WSC Question 98-99 SCRIPTURE MEMORIZATION.......Romans 3:23, 6:23 (The Wages & The Gift) SCRIPTURE READING - LECTIO CONTINUA................Exodus 29:1-29 The Reader: This is the Word of the Lord!
