Happy 2021!
New year, new series of indefinite length
Have you ever felt like because of your age there wasn’t much you could do to make an impact?
Josiah was only 8 years old when He became king, during the waning years of the kingdom of Judah
At 16 he began to seek God, and by 26 he enacted many reforms that brought the people of Judah closer to God, delaying the downfall of Judah.
God will use those who seek Him.
Josiah’s efforts to rebuild the temple led to the people finding the book of the law which had been lost, and Josiah read the book and was heartbroken to see how far Judah had strayed from it.
Josiah’s reforms included tearing down false alters to tother gods, removed Asherah poles, which was a place of pagan worship as well.
He removed household idols and other images that the people were worshipping.
For the first time since the judges over 400 years prior, Josiah had the people of God celebrate the Passover feast as the Lord had commanded them.
You’re not too young to seek God for yourself, and to have an impact in leading others to Him
