This week, we will return to the book of Matthew looking at the story of John's death.  In this story, we will learn that the servant of the King is not always without suffering in this world.  Not only will we learn the certainty of our suffering, but we will also learn of the reason for it and our Master's response to it.  As Philippians 1:29 reminds us, it is given to us on behalf of Jesus Christ to also suffer for His sake.
