The Promise of Protection(Vs. 1-7)

Jacob — Hebrew means “to defraud, deceive, overtake or supplant”
Israel — Hebrew means “God prevails”
God is saying here…not only did I form thee but I transformed thee!
I took you when you were a good for nothing rotten scoundrel of a sinner and transformed you, (after much wrestling with your old nature) into a priceless, righteous in the eyes of God, Saint!
Therefore, Fear Not!
For “I” have redeemed thee! I paid the price to make you who you are! And when I do something I don’t do it halfway, I do it the right way and the righteous way!
Through the blood of my Son, all who believe upon Him shall cleansed and set free and who My Son sets free shall be free indeed!
I have called thee by name, thou art mine!
Oh praise be to God, we all at one point and time were standing on that auction block of sin, looking, wondering and waiting on who it might be that would come and purchase us and lo and behold along came the one and only Son of God, the lamb who taketh away the sins of the world, and He called us by name and now we are His!
And one day friend, when we step over into the eternity, the Bible says that He’s gonna give us a new name that no one will know but He and We!
Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
People say there is nothing to fear but fear itself, but I’m here to tell you that if you know the one and only Son of God then you have nothing to fear at all for He conquered fear when He rose from the grave that 3rd and glorious morning!
Fear not for I have redeemed thee, I have called the by thy name and thou art mine!
Has He called your name? Do you belong to Him? Maybe He’s been calling but you ain’t been answering! Listen friend, if God is calling your name today, there is no better way to start this year off than to answer that call!
Why you ask? Look what He’ll do for you in these following verses if you do answer!
Vs. 2
Daniel 3:24–27 24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellers, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. 25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. 26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, came forth of the midst of the fire. 27 And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellers, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.
Vs. 4
Thou has been honourable — Hebrew Word “kabad” and it’s primitive root word means heavy, weighty, glorious!
Some say the word was sometimes used to refer to the organ of the liver which is the heaviest of all the organs and also one of the most important of all the organs!
Therefore many times this word “honourable” can also be translated important!
Israel was precious & important to God He loved them because of it!
Vs. 7
Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 2:28–29 28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Created — Hebrew word “bārāʾ” and means to created out of nothing.
Formed — Hebrew word “yāṣar” and means to fashion into a mold; speaks especially as a potter.
We are works in progress, amen!
