Certainty of God’s Work

Paul had joy in remembering that God started something good in them.

There is joy in remembering God’s powerful work to save.

He was thankful knowing that these people believed.

There is joy in knowing that the outcome of God’s work in secure.

Partnership in the Gospel

We are bound together because of the good news of Jesus Christ.

In this fellowship, Paul expresses a genuine affection for them.

The fellowship propels us to work together for the gospel advance.

This is a fellowship that goes beyond circumstances.

Hope of Growth (vs9-11)

Paul is praying for their progress in their Christian walk.

There’s joy in knowing they are filled with the fruit of righteousness in Christ.

The more this righteousness shows, the more God is praised for it.

We can be thankful for others, knowing we are all a work in progress.
