Revelation 21:5 NKJV
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Galatians 6:15 NKJV
15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation.

1. When we come to Jesus in salvation we are a New creation.

2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

a. Stop resurrecting “old things” !

a lot of people have a hard time because we are more comfortable with who we where than we are with who he is calling us to be.
I see this in my men in that it seems many of us want to be feared by people. We are using the flesh for safety and the new life for everything else. that’s not how it works. you cannot trust God for salvation and your strength for everything else!
Zechariah 4:6 NKJV
6 So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.
2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
God Has NOT given us a spirit of fear… if we didn’t get it from God it came then from the Flesh, the world or the devil! nothing good ever came from them.
if that is you tonight surrender! Don’t go into 2021 with that bondage in your life!

How do we deal with the fear?

2 Timothy 1:5 NKJV
5 when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.
remember your faith heritage. (some of you come from maharajah missionaries. if you are going to grow beyond where you are you are going to have to realize who they are and where they are and be willing to move beyond them.
Don’t be dishonoring to them.
Don’t announce or respond when they hate on you, just realize that they are being convicted.
Please, in spite of the risk move deeper in God.
Matthew 10:35–39 NKJV
35 For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; 36 and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ 37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
The Next step in combating this fear is to stir up your gifts:
2 Timothy 1:6 NKJV
6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
i’m not talking about flailing about trying to get on the stage or a title because you think that is going to fulfill some deep wound.
that’s not what service and honor are for in the Church
1 Timothy 3:6 NKJV
6 not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.
the mistake people make is that they think that stage made them whole. the stage can tear a whole man to shreds if he does not maintain his relationship with God.

2. Take time to release your sin & turn to God.

Acts 3:19 NKJV
19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
Revelation 2:5 NKJV
5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.
1 John 1:9–10 NKJV
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
1 John 2:1–2 NKJV
1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
Psalm 103:12 NKJV
12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
James 5:16 NKJV
16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Hebrews 12:1 NKJV
1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
unfortunately sin is a part of our lives as followers of Jesus. We have a tendency to magnify or minimize it’s impact on our lives.
priority for me is to remind you that The Lord of Glory wants to forgive you.
2 John tells us that all have sinned.
Psalms 103:12 he removes our sin as far as the east is from the west. ( to remember it no more.)
Hebrews 12:1 says that we have sin that easily trips us up.
James 5:16 says we can be healed from it.
Acts 3:19 says times of refreshing will come.
Revelation 2:5 tells us to return to our first works.

3. Let God magnify your Good works in your new life.

Ephesians 2:10 NKJV
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Romans 11:29 NKJV
29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
Matthew 5:16 NKJV
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
1 Peter 2:12 NKJV
12 having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.
to be sure this refers to works that we would consider “spiritual.” this is why at the Rock in the summer we take Sunday nights and feed the world. This is also why we don’t require those who eat the Wednesday night meal to stay for service.
Ephesians 4:28 NKJV
28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.
2 Thessalonians 3:10 NKJV
10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.
1 Timothy 5:8 NKJV
8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
when we look at the above verses we see the importance of secular Jobs.
since they are so important and since so many of our people have a hard time finding meaningful work I believe that God has put businesses in the hearts and souls of some of the people here.
once you realize that God has called you to be a christian in business, you must submit yourself to be equipped:
you need to be skilled at what you do. further you need to do what God has called you to do with excellence. as unto the Lord.
Colossians 3:23 NKJV
23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
Ecclesiastes 9:10 NKJV
10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.
all people are gifted.
1 Corinthians 12:7 NKJV
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
there is no one without gifts and purpose.
not every one is called to be the owner of a business. some may be called to serve from the second chair so that The Fathers purposes can be accomplished in that business. if that is the Lord’s plan for you it doesn't make you less than. In Christ we are the same and without you the business that God has called you to serve will not be what God Called it to be.
1 Corinthians 12:29–31 NKJV
29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? 31 But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.
