The Connection - John 3:16 II. The word "Believes" - John 3:16 The word "believes" is in a present tense form of Greek. Which means, the word believes is "ongoing" ever present, or continually. It is not one day I got saved and I have not trusted, obeyed, relied on the given Son totally. This "ongoing" believes is connected to my involvement in as Paul "work out your own salvation".
